Here are some pictures of the kitchen in progress. Slow progress but picking up the pace. Yesterday they got the mud up and today they skim coat and texture the walls. Mommy & Daddy can paint tonight (hopefully!!!). Then tomorrow…the cabinets!!! YIPPIE! It appears that I may actually be able to return to my play area in the NEAR future! 🙂

Right now, as you can see, it is a toddler un-friendly zone.

Today started out so fun. I got to sleep in until almost 7:30! I was a bit tired and needed to catch up. Mommy decided that storytime at the library might be nice for a change of pace. So we loaded up the minivan and headed to East Lake Library for Toddler Time. It was really neat. There were about 20+ kids there with their mommies. Very crowded for such a little library. I was sitting reading a book called “Dogs” and it suddenly attacked me as I turned the page. Leave it to me to get hurt in a library!!! *sigh* I have a nice set of three gashes above my right eye.

It bled a bunch (as head wounds do!) and freaked out a lot of the mommies and kids at story time. So, since I was really upset, Mommy grabbed the stack of books I had picked out and then grabbed me and headed for the checkout. No storytime for me today. It is okay though. I got to stop at the toy store on the way home and get a new Thomas car and a racetrack for my Hot Wheels. I also got these neat things called Colorforms (mommy said she had Smurf ones when she was little). They are reusable stickers and we all know how much i LOVE stickers! 🙂

Oh, I got a toy rake for $.25! I already raked all the stuff in the back yard I could find to rake!

Well, off to my nap.

Well, all my toys are crammed into my room and I am not allowed to play in the living room, kitchen and dining room. Ugh! Mommy & Daddy are having the kitchen remodeled and it is a nightmare on the other side of the pass through door. Mommy has been busy trying to entertain me in new fun ways. This week I got my first Thomas the Train cars. I LOVE them! I am busy making bridges and tunnels out of my books and driving the trains and my Hot Wheels cars through them. I even took my big tumble mat and made a HUGE tunnel that i can waddle through. Cool! 🙂

Mommy & Daddy worked on the kitchen tile on Saturday so I got to spend the day with Grandma Jo and Grandpa Hoooooowwwwwiiiieeeeeeeeeee! I really enjoyed that. We made a fort, I ate jellybeans and watched Dumbo! 🙂 I really liked Dumbo.

The kitchen progress is a bit slower than Mommy & Daddy figured but Daddy is on top of it. He complained to the contractor and things are moving a bit better today. We have a ceiling again in the kitchen! 🙂 YIIIIPPIE! Today they should finish the electrical and insulation and then they need to fix the other pass through door to make it wider. They THINK the cabinets might be able to go in on Thursday, but I am not to optimistic. I don’t think I will ever have my play room back!!! 🙁

In other news, we are getting closer to the Disney Cruise! 🙂 Everything is finalized as far as the excursions Mommy & Daddy are taking me on. I get to ride on a train, eat cheese and see dinosaurs!! (ROAR!) Mommy is still nervous about the flight to Spain with me in tow. I am going to TRY to be good, honest! 🙂

Oh yeah, I get to go to a toga party on the cruise ship! Wicked cool for a almost 2 year old! 🙂 I am going to make Mommy take her laptop when we go so she can help me blog from Italy and France.

Well, that is all for today. I am a bit tired and heading for a nap. New pictures soon of the kitchen. Mommy is a bit lax on it this time because she doesn’t want to be underfoot.

Today was a fun day…NOT! I am cranky and fussy again. I am cutting two teeth at the same time… I gotta catch up to my friends. This morning I got to help rake all the leafs that have fallen from the tree out front. I enjoyed that a LOT!

I raked and then helped clean up… when I was done…

I decided I should rake the neighbors yard too! Mommy wouldn’t let me because she was afraid I might step on something and hurt myself.

Afterwards I got all preppy and we went to Zac Daniel’s Christening.
But first I had to make a quick call to “Hooooowwwwieeeee” but he wasn’t home!

We went to a B&B in St. Petersburg. It was really nice. I ran around and relocated anything I could find to relocate. Mommy had to work hard to chase me.

Mommy & Daddy ad given me Benedryll before we went because my allergies are all crazy this week. I am dripping like a faucet. Oh well. Pollen! I fell asleep right before lunch but did get to see the actual Christening.

We came home and I didn’t want to nap. Oh well. Finally I took a short nap around 4ish. So of course I wasn’t totally tired at bedtime. Mommy and Daddy let me read for a bit and then came and shut off my light. I snuck out of bed again and grabbed my books again. Mommy came back in 15 mintues later and I was sitting in the dark with my flashlight on reading a book about shapes. Ugh… BUSTED! 🙁

Mommy and Daddy laughed for a while. Mommy’s friend Mrs. Jamie joked about it last week that I would be the kid under the covers reading books by flashing. Little did she know it would happen WAY earlier than anyone thought! 🙂
Hopefully I feel better tomorrow. The de-construction of the kitchen should start tomorrow and my toys are all a-muck! BLAH!

Night night everyone!

Mr. Ethan and his Mommy (Jamie) came over again tonight. Daddy made a nice diner. We had pan seared sirloin, mashed taters and cheesy peas. I didn’t like the cheesy peas but Mr. Ethan did! 🙂

We played in the back yard and sandbox.

I wore just big boy undies outside. Today I found them in my closet and wanted to put them on. Mommy let me wear them OVER my diaper all day and then when we went outside I had no diaper and just the undies. I was having such a fun time playing I forgot that I needed to go potty. Oh well. I am learning still.

Ethan and I trashed my room and then the Mommies picked it all up. Daddy too. We had a fun splash in the bath and then the night was over.
