BABYSITTER

Today I woke up and did my normal self play until Mommy & Daddy booted-up enough to come get me out of my room. Mommy opened my door and the first thing I said while looking around frantically was “Rina!??” Mommy was sad. Karina watched me last night when Mommy & Daddy went to play putt-putt. I has so much fun that I wanted her to play again today! But today she is getting MARRIED!

Off to swim and nature park!

outside fun…

Yesterday (Saturday) I spent the morning with Mommy , Daddy and Grandma Susie. We went to Wall Springs Park again for a nature hike. I tried to show Daddy where all the hippos were but once again they were hiding. I learned how to play shadow tag with Grandma Susie. I even almost caught my OWN shadow!

We ran a few errands and then I came home for a nap. After my nap Mommy & Daddy put me in the car and we went to Phillipe Park. Wow, another chance to look for hippos!!! Miss Sage was down for the weekend from Ocala with her parents. So we all met at the park and we had a wonderful time. Daddy enjoyed “grown-up” talk with some of the other dads. Daddy needs more other dad time… maybe I will try to network a social structure for him. Hmmm.

We played on the playground and munched watermelon.

I was exhausted from all the fresh air and went right to sleep at bedtime. Mommy was surprised with that because she THINKS three of my eye-teeth have popped through and I have been cranky because of that.

I got up this morning and did my normal Sunday cartoon ritual while Daddy read the paper and Mommy picked up the house a bit. Then, I looked out the window and who was there?? SAGE!!! Yeah, Sage and her parents came over to play.

Sage and I went on an African safari, played in the sandbox, poured water on each other and did lots more fun things! 🙂 It was nice for Mommy & Daddy to have their friends over. We sure do miss them since they moved to Ocala. After all our outside fun Sage and I got cleaned off with the hose and then each got dunked in the tub. Then I INSISTEd that Sage watch Curious George with me. Guess what?? Sage LOVES George too! I really miss Sage! *sigh* We played for a bit and then everyone went bye-bye.

Watering Sage…it helps her grow!

Dip Stick… Dipstick?

Yes. Daddy thinks I am a dipstick today! 🙂 So my morning started out super fun! I did AWESOME at swimming. Despite the instructor saying I m still a bit stiff because of teething, I am doing great at my swim float swim sequences. Today I swam about 10 feet to the wall of the pool. Super job for me! 🙂 I even got a neat pirate temporary tattoo for being such a good little swim-swimer today.

After swim we came home and got Daddy for art class. Today we are working on planes! WAY COOL! I am going to fly on a plane soon so Mommy & Daddy talk a lot about airplanes to me. The first art project was neat… we painted the sky, put on cotton-ball clouds and glued airplanes in our sky! 🙂 I then decided that I didn’t want to do anything that Mommy & Daddy asked of me. I threw a glob of play-doh at Mommy’s face and assisted in breaking her glasses. (Tonight she will go order new ones, she got the pair temporarily fixed with mis-matched parts for the time being). Needless to say I was already in time out when the glasses broke the worst. Sorry Mommy!

We were all finishing up snack time (goldfish and water) and I opted for the fast track to snack time and shoved all my fish in at one time. Ugh! Chew chew chew. Meanwhile, the teacher was setting up the next project and had laid out some popsicle sticks and a cup of glue. Here is where I became a dipstick. I grabbed the stick and put it in the glue cup (I dipped the stick) and then right INTO my mouth(dipstick) full of goldfish crackers. Well, glue is NASTY tasting. I spit out a little… Daddy went to get a paper-towel to clean me up and right before he started cleaning…BLLLLLAHHHHHHHHH! I spit out the rest of the crackers and gagged and threw up all over myself and Mommy. Boy was THAT unpleasant. Mommy said, as she was mopping up the ick from herself, that is why we don’t eat glue! I guess she was right about that one, sometimes my parents actually ARE smart and correct about things… go figure!!!

I got a quick bath after class and am off for a nap. After my nap I insist that I go to the “nature park”. Mommy said we will have to talk about it later because she needs to go get new glasses now! UGH!

Spit-up, Attacking Blueberry buckets and Sleep

Things have been really busy this week for me. I constantly insist that I go to the “nature park” but no one seems to listen to me. I have had it with swimming because my not-quite-here-yet teeth are hurting and driving me nuts. When I get in the water I am fine on my tummy but when i flip to my back… AHHHHH I don’t like it one bit!!!!! Daddy came to my early lessons and got to see first hand how much I fuss. After I got out of the pool, Mommy was snuggling me and trying to dry me off then… from the bottom of my tummy I looked up and BURPED…a BIG burp… so loud it scared away the hippos… the burp brought up a bunch of breakfast too. Thank goodness I had clean clothes and so did Mommy. Smart Mommy! 🙂

After swimming I crashed in the car-seat on the way to a blueberry farm in Hudson (about 30 minutes north of Grandma’s house. I got to pick a bunch of blueberries right from the bushes. Mommy quickly explained to only pick the big blue ones… then I went to work!

All was well. I LOVED picked berries. Mommy made me keep my binki in my mouth so I didn’t eat the berries. But I went tearing down a row to see Daddy and my bucket jumped in front of me and I tumbled face first into it! I scraped my lip a bit but I was okay… no “doctor” needed. (I insist lately that every boo-boo needs kissed by Mommy AND Daddy and that I then need to go to the doc-tor.) Mommy said she is an accident prone fruit picker too… I guess she was attacked by a ladder when she was a little kid picking cherries. I guess it runs in the family. I am bound to not like picking fruit, i guess??

Calling it a day…
100_3404.JPG

Mommy said I was just too cute in the blueberry fields. I kept hearing roosters and cows and monkeys (okay, not monkeys but I can dream, right??). I really enjoyed this outing. Next time, remember to bring a portable a/c unit… it was toasty out there! My shoes need a bath, I need a bath… but right now I need a NAP!

Every Person Comes Out Tired??

I sure agree. EPCOT sure made me tired. This morning Grandpa Howie came over and we went to Disney World for the day. He say’s Grandma Jo encouraged him to come over and relax for a day. I don’t know if I agree — I think he was somehow driving Grandma Jo crazy and she told him to go away for the day. I know Daddy drives Mommy crazy and she says it’s genetic so that must mean Daddy got it from Grandpa Howie! That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

Anyway, this morning when I woke up we got in the car and went over the WDW. We decided I needed a haircut (gotta look handsome for the Med cruise!!!) so we went to the Magic Kingdom and I got my second haircut. It was every bit as fun an experience as the first time (https://breighton.qseg.org/?p=231). Even if there was a long wait. While I was getting my haircut, Daddy & Grandpa Howie went on Pirates, Haunted Mansion, and Small World (I did say it was a long wait for my haircut, didn’t I????). After my haircut, we had a nice lunch — I love grapes and apple sauce. Yum! We went back to Splash Mountain and while Daddy & Grandpa Howie were on Splash Mountain, I decided I just *had* to ride the train! So we rode the train all around the park. That was fun! On the way out, we stopped for Dole Whip (I insisted on eating Daddy’s…. I think I might finally have him trained to share. We’ll see…)

From Magic Kingdom we went to EPCOT. We didn’t ride anything over there (except the monorail) but we had fun anyway. Well, at least everyone else did. See if you can guess what I was doing….

100_3346.JPG

I’ve been told this is the entrance to EPCOT and the whole ship is done “Tournament of Roses” style. That is my pal Stitch in the dingy.

100_3352.JPG

This apparently is the “center” of EPCOT (right before the lake as you come in.) Mommy is pushing my stroller. Grandpa is being Grandpa. Daddy is taking the picture. Where is B? Hmmmm.

100_3363.JPG

Oh wait, here I am!!! Catching some zzzzzzzs in front of Italy. I decided to take a nice nap in the stroller. I missed most of the park, but I certainly had fun sleeping.

100_3365.JPG

Mommy made sure to get a picture of the little choo-choo trains! I LOVE them and she knew I would be upset if I missed out completely.

100_3367.JPG

Okay, If Sleepy is in the middle… should Daddy be on the other side of me by Grumpy?? Maybe he is more of a Doc??

100_3370.JPG

I eventually woke up in time to smell the roses…. very important I am told. Everyone needs to stop and get some pollen up their nose… I mean smell the roses! 🙂
100_3371.JPG

I showed Howie all over one I woke up. I led him by his “finnngaaaa”.

100_3375.JPG

We went into a butterfly garden. I saw so many butterflies.

100_3376.JPG

Mom said not bad for a cheap camera! 🙂

100_3378.JPG

The last thing we did at the park was.. BEES! I love “hon-eeee bees” The man taught me that bears don’t eat honey…they eat baby bees. Hmmm. I will stick with the honey.

After the parks we went to Artist’s Point for din-din. I behaved like a champion! 🙂 I enjoyed my Tillamook cheddar Pasta. I played with blue flashing ice cubes, colored a pirate Mickey (and the table), made a pretty sticker collage, and gobbled up a HUGE bowl of ice cream! 🙂 Everyone was impressed that after such a long day I acted so well at din-din. On the way to the car I found a wild bunny. I am good at finding “nature”. I said bye-bye to the bunny and we got the car and headed home.

I watched The Heffalump Movie on the way home, got a very quick bath and was tucked in by 9pm. That was a VERY long day and I am VERY tired. I think I will wake up 2 hours early just to keep Mommy & Daddy on their toes! 🙂
