Somewhat stressful morning…

I’m not sure I’m going to like today — it’s really up and down so far.

I was playing in my room and set off the alarm. Daddy’s going to have to look at that silly sensor and see why I can do that!

Things were great for a while after that. I was all excited about seeing Pishaaa and when Daddy brought in the cat carrier and said we were taking Clover to the vet, I decided she needed all my Mr. Potato Head parts. I helped Mommy & Daddy find Clover and even went behind the TV to get her out for them!

Then we all got in the car (well, not Daddy, he had to work). We went to the vet but I didn’t understand we were leaving Clover there. I’m so upset and cried and screamed and melted down at leaving her behind. I thought she would come to swimming with me. :< The people at the vet tried to tell me it would be alright and we would have Clover after my nap, but I still don't like it. Mommy and Daddy had told me she was getting her teeth cleaned. I'm kind of nervous about that now. I brush mine everyday but I know mom & dad go to get their's cleaned every 6 months or so. I'm sure I'll repress this memory and when they take me to get my teeth cleaned I'll panic for reasons I can't quite understand. Hopefully this entry will remind me why I have an aversion to "teeth cleaning" and "vets".

Dirty Ditch

Grandma Susie taught me my first swear word yesterday. Mommy, Daddy and I went to visit her at work and see the new changes to the place she works. Grandma Susie was walking around with me in her arms while talking on her headset with a customer. I pushed the disconnect button by mistake. Grandma Susie told Ange (her boss lady) that the customer would probably call back and “*itch” because she got disconnected. Well, me being the receptive parrot that I am… said “*itch” really loud and confidently.

Grandma Susie was quick on her feet and took me outside to look at the “Dirty Ditch” that runs along the building. There were wildflowers, trees and some pine-needles. I enjoyed playing in the “ditch”.

Mommy & Daddy came outside to get me after they realized that the shop was WAY too quiet. I brought Ange some flowers from the ditch. (The ditch is really a water runoff area in case of high rains…which we haven’t had in ages so it was nice and dry).

In other news.
Swimming is going well. I still scream bloody murder in the pool but my teacher (Miss Patricia… or Pish-aaa as I call her) is learning to get me calmed down. Today I floated on my back and looked for airplanes and birds. That was fun! 🙂

Mommy and I have been spending a lot of time outside before it gets too hot to do so. Yesterday we worked on my Mother’s Day gifts. Today we played in the sandbox and with sidewalk chalk.

Well, I guess that is it for now.

Earthy Weekend

Earth Day was celebrated in style this year.

Saturday Mommy, Daddy and I went to EPCOT for the Flower and Garden Festival. It was really crowded but there is no pressure to do the rides since we go so often. The flowers were really pretty this year. They added several kiddie play areas and I really enjoyed checking them out. I got to paint a picture with paint dabbers, make a coffee filter butterfly and make a fluffy pom-pom caterpillar. I enjoyed a leisurely ride in my stroller for the day because my temperament wasn’t too super. I am FINALLY just about to pop through the 1st of the eye teeth. I enjoyed seeing all the neat sculptures made from “earthy” materials.

Today, Sunday, I spent the morning with Mommy and Grandma Susie. We went to Perkins for breakfast and then to Wall Springs Park for a “Nature Hike”. I collected shells, dirt, flowers, pine cones, and small rocks.

I even picked some flowers just for Granny.

I INSISTED that there was a bear in the woods. I kept “growling” at it.

Mommy & Grandma Susie just laughed at me.

We walked (I ran) everywhere.

I climbed all the steps at the lookout tower. I ran across every bridge and through every field.

I checked out every leaf and stone and left nothing unturned!

I saw ducks, lots of fish, lots of birds and a hippo.

Okay, maybe not a hippo, but I WISHED I saw one. The bears probably scared them all away. Let’s not forget about the bears. GROWL!

I am getting tired. I picked more flowers for Granny and we headed back to her house for relaxation.

After my nap Mommy & Daddy took me to Honeymoon Island Park. We collected shells, made a small sand castle (sand pile) and avoided the waves as they splashed ashore. I especially enjoyed putting shells in my short pocket. I am just learning that I have pockets and what wonders they can hold. It was a beautiful evening and we all really enjoyed the beach. There was even a 3 year old streaker!! (I am not sure what that means, but I do know the little boy didn’t want to put his clothing on!!) I tried to see how many rocks I could carry until I got bored and moved on to something new.

It was an amazingly fun day and now I am tuckered out. So off to bed with me! 🙂 Goodnight all!

Sorry I have been busy

So, Mommy and Daddy are on the verge of seeing if the hospital will take me back. I am teething badly and have a clear drippy nose and a HUGE toddler attitude issue. Mommy said that if I act today (or ever again for that fact) like I did yesterday…she will disown me!!! So hitting, pinching, biting and general toddler grumpiness is not okay??

As for me… yesterday I hated: FOOD, MILK, Mommy, Daddy, my toys, my diaper and especially bathtime when I went into my worst meltdown EVER.

I clocked Mommy in the face with my large hard plastic elephant and then laughed uncontrolably. Am I becoming evil… or just nearly two??

Whatever has taken my soul and replaced it with the being that I am right now… GO AWAY!

The highlight of my day was playing the new Boston piano that Mommy & Daddy got. There are a LOT of rules that come with the piano (washing hands, no “banging” the keys, no flipping the lid up and down, no climbing..blah blah blah). Yesterday probably was NOT the day for new rules.

Daddy yelled at Hunter last night as he was hacking up on the kitchen table. This caused Hunter to fly off the table and hack on the way to the ground…then land in it and then freak out and run around the house spreading cat puke everywhere! UGH! Mommy got it all picked up and Daddy helped get Hunter to the bathroom for a 20 mintue lockdown so he could get cleaned up.

Just one of those days.
