Dip Stick… Dipstick?

Yes. Daddy thinks I am a dipstick today! 🙂 So my morning started out super fun! I did AWESOME at swimming. Despite the instructor saying I m still a bit stiff because of teething, I am doing great at my swim float swim sequences. Today I swam about 10 feet to the wall of the pool. Super job for me! 🙂 I even got a neat pirate temporary tattoo for being such a good little swim-swimer today.

After swim we came home and got Daddy for art class. Today we are working on planes! WAY COOL! I am going to fly on a plane soon so Mommy & Daddy talk a lot about airplanes to me. The first art project was neat… we painted the sky, put on cotton-ball clouds and glued airplanes in our sky! 🙂 I then decided that I didn’t want to do anything that Mommy & Daddy asked of me. I threw a glob of play-doh at Mommy’s face and assisted in breaking her glasses. (Tonight she will go order new ones, she got the pair temporarily fixed with mis-matched parts for the time being). Needless to say I was already in time out when the glasses broke the worst. Sorry Mommy!

We were all finishing up snack time (goldfish and water) and I opted for the fast track to snack time and shoved all my fish in at one time. Ugh! Chew chew chew. Meanwhile, the teacher was setting up the next project and had laid out some popsicle sticks and a cup of glue. Here is where I became a dipstick. I grabbed the stick and put it in the glue cup (I dipped the stick) and then right INTO my mouth(dipstick) full of goldfish crackers. Well, glue is NASTY tasting. I spit out a little… Daddy went to get a paper-towel to clean me up and right before he started cleaning…BLLLLLAHHHHHHHHH! I spit out the rest of the crackers and gagged and threw up all over myself and Mommy. Boy was THAT unpleasant. Mommy said, as she was mopping up the ick from herself, that is why we don’t eat glue! I guess she was right about that one, sometimes my parents actually ARE smart and correct about things… go figure!!!

I got a quick bath after class and am off for a nap. After my nap I insist that I go to the “nature park”. Mommy said we will have to talk about it later because she needs to go get new glasses now! UGH!

Hmm… I think I get the whole “money” thing

Mommy and Daddy think they take me shopping too much. When we go to Super Target, I always ask for juice & cookies. Sometimes mommy & daddy will buy me a juice box and a box of Target animal crackers from the “food avenue” area (snack bar area). Well, a few days ago I wanted a wallet of my own. So, mommy gave me one of her extra ones and daddy gave me $2. Both mommy and daddy told me it was for me to use to buy juice & cookies at Super Target. So, a few days have passed and today while Daddy was watching me before work started, I got my wallet, and told daddy my money was “stuck” in the wallet. Daddy got my money out and I took one of the two dollars and handed it to daddy and told him “money juice B get juice”. Daddy wasn’t quite sure how to react. Should he tell me great job for understanding the concept of money or think that I was already trying to buy him off and get around the rule of having to eat my breakfast if I wanted any treats…. Daddy struck a compromise and told me he was very proud of me but that I still had to eat breakfast and the juice money was only for spending at Super Target. Oh bother. Well, at least I had fun with Daddy before he went to work!

Spit-up, Attacking Blueberry buckets and Sleep

Things have been really busy this week for me. I constantly insist that I go to the “nature park” but no one seems to listen to me. I have had it with swimming because my not-quite-here-yet teeth are hurting and driving me nuts. When I get in the water I am fine on my tummy but when i flip to my back… AHHHHH I don’t like it one bit!!!!! Daddy came to my early lessons and got to see first hand how much I fuss. After I got out of the pool, Mommy was snuggling me and trying to dry me off then… from the bottom of my tummy I looked up and BURPED…a BIG burp… so loud it scared away the hippos… the burp brought up a bunch of breakfast too. Thank goodness I had clean clothes and so did Mommy. Smart Mommy! 🙂

After swimming I crashed in the car-seat on the way to a blueberry farm in Hudson (about 30 minutes north of Grandma’s house. I got to pick a bunch of blueberries right from the bushes. Mommy quickly explained to only pick the big blue ones… then I went to work!

All was well. I LOVED picked berries. Mommy made me keep my binki in my mouth so I didn’t eat the berries. But I went tearing down a row to see Daddy and my bucket jumped in front of me and I tumbled face first into it! I scraped my lip a bit but I was okay… no “doctor” needed. (I insist lately that every boo-boo needs kissed by Mommy AND Daddy and that I then need to go to the doc-tor.) Mommy said she is an accident prone fruit picker too… I guess she was attacked by a ladder when she was a little kid picking cherries. I guess it runs in the family. I am bound to not like picking fruit, i guess??

Mommy said I was just too cute in the blueberry fields. I kept hearing roosters and cows and monkeys (okay, not monkeys but I can dream, right??). I really enjoyed this outing. Next time, remember to bring a portable a/c unit… it was toasty out there! My shoes need a bath, I need a bath… but right now I need a NAP!

I need a long nap…

Last night I stayed with the baby sitter again. Wednesday is “date night” for Mommy & Daddy. I had fun playing with Miss Karina. We played with my trains, read books, built Mr. Potato heads and lots of other things. I wanted my coloring books from the foyer closet (which Mommy keeps locked so that there are no crayon accidents) but Miss K was too short to open the lock. I INSISTED that “B B HELP” and she picked me up and I showed her how to un-do the lock. She thinks I am a HAM! I even let her give me a bath. She was starting to get a complex because I will NOT take a bath for her. SO, I opted for a good behavior and took out… I was dirty anyway.

Mommy & Daddy spent their date eating a rushed pizza and the going to Grandma Jo and Grandpa Howie’s house to rescue ANOTHER alligator (June 20 last year… check the blog). It was far easier this time apparently. The alligator has been relocated down the street in Lansbrook so it can bug other people and not the Koi in my grandparents pond.

Today has been VERY busy for me so far. I had swimming lessons this morning. I did a LOT better today because Mommy hid in Miss Patricia’s kitchen while I was in the pool. I guess seeing Mommy makes me think she will rescue me. Since she was out of sight I had to rely on Miss Patricia and the birds in the trees to save me. I only will float on my back if I see a bird in the sky. Better hope if I ever fall in a pool that there are LOTS of birds around! 🙂

After swim-swim Mommy and I ran a few errands and then went to Gymboree for a new big kid art class. I had fun in the class. We painted a leaf, made a caterpillar and read The Very Hungry Caterpillar. It was a fun class. I was having so much fun and was in such an AWESOME (btw: my new favorite word) mood so we stayed for a family play class. I enjoyed playing with several of my friends. Near the end of class a big 4 year old came running out of a tunnel and put his arms straight out and plowed me to the ground…. KA-THUD went my noggin into the hard floor. It hurt but I was able to shake it off quickly and return to playing. Mommy was upset because the other kids mother took a very lax response to the deliberate “get outta my way…knocking over”. Mommy said the one time I was able to shake it off is the ONE time she needed me to cry a little so the other mommy would be more alert. I am okay, I know it was an accident(not really), but the boy eventually apologized.

Well, I am a bit tired today… all this running and playing not to mention the 3 times I woke up screaming in the middle of the night. These teeth are going to come through soon, right Daddy?? They are all SO close. UGH!

Ready for Broadway

This picture is from last week when I crashed in the car right after swimming lessons. Mommy took it with her cell phone so it isn’t the best.

At music class we are listening to broadway music right now. Last week I dressed for my broadway show and marched with the BIG kids.I sported a police vest, a orange construction helmet and a pair of cymbols! I enjoy the big kids class but I can’t go to it for a while do to swimming time conflicts. Oh well.

so…
Here is me dressing for the show this week. I am a VERY large kid compared to the kids in this class. The girls in pink is 20 months and the boy in blue with the top hat is just over 2 years. Told you I was big for my age!! Today i chose to wear a police vest, a blue pimp hat and ruby slippers. I think I have an AWESOME sense of style. Don’t you??
