Ether weeekend?

I like saying “ether”. I THINK I mean Easter but everyone giggles when I say “ether”. *shrug* All I know is that there is a bunny, eggs, candy and something about a lamb.

Saturday morning Mommy and Daddy took me to an Easter Egg hunt in downtown Dunedin. I really enjoyed flirting with the older girls and bouncing in the moon-bounce. It was a big windy and chilly but I stayed warm by running around like a kid hopped up on sugar! 🙂 At some point a strange man (apparently the Pastor of the local church sponsoring the event) was taking pictures and I offered up a HUGE cheesy smile for him. I am a ham!

Saturday afternoon Cousin Anna and I decorated eggs. By that I mean I dropped the eggs in the dye cups and then fiddled around with them with my nice once normal colored hands.

My hands were GREEN when I was done.

Mommy scrubbed and scrubbed and scrubbed and FINALLY after about 3 gallons of soap and a few Brillo pads the green is gone. (She didn’t really scrub that hard, but it sure felt like a LOT of hand-washing!) Then she trimmed my nails to remove the last of the green mutant fingernails. I thought it was cool!

Today Anna was down again and we hunted for eggs at Great Uncle Harry’s house. I had a BLAST! I think Easter egg hunting is a bit too high pressure for me. I think maybe it was all the egg hunts Mommy and Daddy took me to in training for the big event today. It was always “hurry hurry hurry” so the bigger kids didn’t get all the eggs first. Today I had my OWN eggs to hunt. I ran around saying “hurry hurry hurry”. Oh well. I really had fun hunting eggs though.

Afterward Anna and I checked out the loot that the Easter Bunny left for us. I got a BUNCH of Thomas the Tank trains, Matchbox cars, sticky balls, books candy and other toys!

I had a quick bite of sugar and then more sugar for desert. I got a bit loopy.

1) Grandma Jo tired to kill Mommy & me 2) I scared the babysitter

Okay first off, thank you Grandma Jo for the really cool balls from the learning store. Now that that is said and done.

Mommy was driving me to Gymboree and I was playing quietly with one of the balls in the back seat. Suddenly it went whizzing by Mommy’s head and straight under the gas pedal in the mini-van. Mommy whipped off her shoe in mid turn and fetched the ball with her foot (kicked it backwards). Mommy said thank goodness it wasn’t the brake pedal. No more balls in the car! 🙁

Secondly, Mommy and Daddy went on a “date night” to see The Last Mimzy, which they LOVED. I stayed home with Karina and played with my animals. At 7pm she said it was time for my bath and I took her “fingers” and led her to the bathroom. She stripped me down and I wanted to turn on the faucet (she let me). Then I told her “potty, potty, potty”. She was confused because no one had told her that I am becoming a BIG boy (Mommy said she had no need since I haven’t gone in the potty for two days). She set me on the potty and I went pee-pee almost immediately. I didn’t want to get off the potty. She was SHOCKED to say the least. I finally let her take me off and then I told her I needed to wash my hands. She was MORE shocked! Next was bath-time. I wanted NOTHING to do with bath-time. Mommy said she will wash me tomorrow (I have purple paint on my tummy still from stamping with giant ink-pads out back this afternoon). When Mommy and Daddy got home Karina told them of my potty adventures.

Mommy and Daddy are SOOOOO proud of me. Tomorrow I get to try on the BIG boy undies that we bought at Target today. I picked out Thomas the Tank and Elmo! 🙂

YEAH FOR ME! 🙂

Letter to my potty…

Dearest Potty,

I enjoyed using your services twice. I think I am now done. So you will have to sit alone in the bathroom until a BIG boy comes by. For some reason I like to scream bloody murder when I get near you. If Mommy and Daddy get me on top of you I scream that I am “stuck”. I did have a fun time sitting on you and playing with Shrek stickers today. But, I absolutely REFUSE to do pee-pee in the potty like the other day.

Mommy said she will keep trying. Daddy said if I go in the potty I get a pop-pop! (lollipop or ice cream depending on the situation for those of you who missed it).

*sigh* I may never again taste a pop-pop. 🙁

oh bother!

Animal Parade

I spent a large amount of today playing with my animals. I made a parade and we marched. I sorted them by animal type and then again by if they had four legs (Mommy helped with that one).

I placed them ALL along the edge of the foyer and then swung my arms until they all flew away. I even figured out I could spin them really fast on an old baby toy I still have!

It was a fun animal day.
Mommy said I am growing like a weed.

I still make cute faces.

and most of all, I still curl my toes.

Potty Power…

Today after dinner (i had king crab, applesauce and broccoli) I was filthy and Mommy took me for a bath. She got me in the tub and I said “Mommy potty” so she pulled me out and I sat on the potty for a few minutes. Then guess what? I made a pee-pee in the potty! All by myself! I even knew to flush! 🙂

We got to go Brewster’s Ice Cream for a celebration “pop-pop” (ice cream or lollipop depending on the situation). Everyone was so proud of me! 🙂 I am too!

Mommy got me cleaned up when we got home and before changing my diaper asked if I needed to potty before bed… It took me a few minutes to decide that I should probably try. I took Mommy and Daddy to the potty room and they set me on the potty and right away I went pee-pee again! 🙂 I giggled with delight! 🙂 I AM SO PROUD OF ME!

Mommy let me wear a pull-up diaper to bed tonight because I am such a big boy!!

YIPPIE!
