Feeling Better…

So sorry to all my adoring fans out there in cyber-land. With the entire household being sick it was hard to post and let everyone know what has been going on in my life. Before I got sick we did a lot of fun things that we all forgot about because no really felt well enough to remember. So, this is going to be a long post with some random updates over the past few weeks.

Most of my time has been spent quarantined from other people due to my pneumonia. Mommy and I spent a lot of time building and playing with more Legos. I am sure we drove Daddy nuts with all our being around the house-ness. Not to mention we managed to get him sick too! Our evenings of errands had been put on hold and turned into evenings cuddled up on the sofa watching Halloween themed movies and reading Halloween books.

I felt a bit better one weekend so we took a quick trip out to “Pumpkin Festival”.

They had a HUGE corn maze, pony rides and a big pumpkin patch. I was still feeling kinda crummy so I sat in my stroller most of the time.

I took the easy stroll thro ugh the huge maze. It was hot and yucky out so I was glad to just ride along.

If you got lost there were people to point you in the right direction… Grandma Jo did a good job and got us out without help! 🙂

I wanted to ride the pony really bad but when I got on it… I changed my mind… really quick!!!!

MOmmy got me calmed down and then I had a BLAST!

I got to play in the pumpkins. I wanted to take them all home. I finally decided on a cute little one that fit in my hand. (And now sleeps in my bed at night!)

I went through a hay-maze that was more my size. I really enjoyed it once I caught on how to do it. The second time through I got a bit aggressive towards a little girl and started throwing hay around so Mommy snatched me out and said “we are done!” We wandered around for a while and decided it was too hot and headed home.

Let’s see, what else have I done.

We all enjoyed a trip over to Disney to go to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween. Grandma and Grandpa stayed at the campground so we went to visit them at the campfire. I am really starting to get into the characters. I sat VERY patiently while I waited for Chip/Dale to come by and sign my autograph book and give me a hug.

Then I was back to running the bleachers and listening to all the singing of camp-fire songs. We roasted marshmallows but I preferred to just eat the plain ones and the graham crackers!

DSCN0602.JPG

For a kid still getting over sickness, I did pretty well! 🙂 At least I was in a terrific mood. Maybe it was the 6 billion marshmallows??

DSCN0605.JPG

I got changed into my costume and we went to the Magic Kingdom for some trick-or-treating! 🙂

I went as a puppy dog. I was so stinking HOT in my costume but I didn’t want to take it off. I enjoyed myself a lot though! I took a lot of work but I finally started saying “Trick or Treat…woof woof.”

All was well until the FIREWORKS started. I was terrified (understatement!) Mommy, Daddy and I left the rest of the family and headed out of the park. It was just too much for me. Maybe being so tired or just still not quite 100% better… I was happy to leave. But I wish I could go back for more!

I did get to see Mickey Mouse and a few other characters (Donald, Goofy, Pluto and Stitch!) and have them sign my book too!

DSCN0593.JPG

Before the characters I was a bit scared and lethargic.

But the autograph book really helped me break the ice.

I really enjoyed my quick trip to Disney! 🙂

Gymboree Halloween

Friday Night I went to a Halloween Party at Gymboree. I dressed as a monkey, as it was a LOT cooler than the lion or puppy costumes I had. Thanks Mommy for the more comfy comfortable outfit to wear. PLus, I really didn’t need a costume to be a monkey! I am a silly one already!

I enjoyed stirring the witches brew.

Playing in the pumpkin patch.

I got to go in the art room and make a spooky ghost and a spider!

I enjoyed taking the caps of the markers and then sticking all the markers inside the tube for my ghost.

DSCN0705.JPG

It was fun the color the paper towel (we were just supposed to color the tube… but I like to be different.)

DSCN0693.JPG

It made my ghost look pretty neat!

DSCN0702.JPG

Here he is! I call him GHOST!

DSCN0699.JPG

Then I flew him around the room at lightening speed.

DSCN0695.JPG

Back to the play floor for more fun games and climbing.

I hid in the rainbow barrel.

DSCN0677.JPG

Mommy flopped it over and then rolled me around, that was FUN!

DSCN0674.JPG

I still looked goofy a few minutes later! hehe

DSCN0647.JPG

Just being CUTE!

Climbing like the monkey that I am!

DSCN0655.JPG

I was VERY tuckered out by the time we got home and had dinner. I had a quick bath and then curled up with Daddy on the sofa and watched Winnie-The-Pooh’s Heffalump Halloween on DVD.

DSCN0729.JPG

I have been sleeping much better now that I am feeling better. Mommy and Daddy are still coughing and trying to get back to normal. Mommy said her sides hurt so bad when she coughs. Hopefully the Dr can give her some good medicine or advice soon! I want my Mommy to feel better so we can go play more.

We did spend 2 hours at the park the other day. I really enjoyed getting back to normal life things. No more being cooped up in the house. And time for a break from Legos (just for a little bit!!!). Can’t keep me from my Legos!

Dude… I need a grow light….

The past few nights I’ve asked mommy and daddy to leave the light on in my room when I sleep. I already have a nightlight, but I want on the big overhead light. I’m very nice about asking. I usually say “make bb very happy please. leave on light”. So mom and dad have been nice enough to generally listen (although I’m convinced they sneak in after I’m asleep and turn it out.) If it’s out when I wake up in the middle of the night, I turn it back on.

Well, mommy finally asked me why I want my light on. She probably thought I was scared of the dark (and in fact, still thinks that’s the *real* reason). I told her that “BB need light to grow”. Mommy scratched her head for a moment and then remembered the book we read about reptiles. While reading that book mommy talked about how reptiles, when kept as pets or in a zoo, get special lights that keep them warm and help them grow. She told me I get all the light I need from being outside and that I’m not a reptile!

Well, I still think I need a light to grow. After all, if it’s good for the reptiles then it should be good for me in my cave/cage! (Daddy wants to remind readers before they scramble for the phone to call DCF that I don’t actually sleep in a cave [or cage] – I sleep in my own bed in my own room. The bed has an open-ended fabric arch that creates a “tunnel” with the opening going from the head of by bed about half-way down to the foot of my bed. The “tunnel” arches from one side of the bed to the other and the two sides secure to each other under the mattress. I like to hang a blanket on each open end [leaving enough room for air flow] to create an enclosed cave/cage!)

So, since I need to grow and mommy and daddy keep turning off the overhead light, anyone got a spare grow light for me???

Also, anyone got any more ideas of what other logical (and cute) justifications I can use rather than saying (I *insist* falsely) that I’m scared of the dark???

Candles

So, we sat down for dinner and daddy decided to light the candles (you know – the ones on the table that make a “candlelight” dinner). I
saw them and started signing Happy Birthday to “mommy daddy and me”.
Mommy and daddy think I am a cutie… (and that we need to eat dinner by candlelight more often)

Fire-Hose

Well, before all the DRAMA of this evening, I was having a grand old time. I have been giggly all day and just in a goofy mood. Most of the evening consisted of me bouncing on the sofa and trying to do headstands on Mommy’s tummy. For someone who has a serious respiratory issue you would think I would be acting sick. NOT ME! I don’t know how to act sick, I know how to be a goofball! I even flipped over my recliner chair and pretended to be a hermit-crab…. soooo me!

Well, at my first bath tonight…

Lately, when Mommy starts the water in the tub I have to go pee. I refuse to do it on the potty so Mommy has just gotten used to cleaning the tub really well. Tonight I grabbed onto my winky and pretended to be a fire hose. I kept saying things like “raise the ladder”, “the wall is on fire”, “put out the fire”, and making all sorts of water squirting hose noises. Meanwhile, I managed to soak the walls and most of the tub… apparently I had a LOT of fluids tonight! Mommy just shook her head and said “this is blog worthy kiddo!”. I opted to just state the facts rather than have it haunt me later! Therapy reason #812!!! Thanks parents!!!!
