Color Me Red

This weekend I spent the morning at the park with Daddy, Mommy and Grandma Susie. We had a blast playing on the playground and running all around. We got to see the bike riders come by for the Ironman race. I cheered and clapped for a lot of them. It was rather neat to see so many people on bikes whizzing by as I sat in my stroller. Grandma Susie and I made a pile of pine needles and I pretended they were a bed and I curled up inside and pretended to take a nap.

At the end of our neighborhood picnic Grandma Susie took me home for a nap and I wanted to read a book. She gave me a puzzle book to take to nap time that I had just got from a recent trip to Orlando. Shortly after Mommy got home she came in to get me from my nap but she heard me giggling and opted to let me giggle for a few minutes. Mommy finally came in and I was all colored red! My book apparently had a marker for maze puzzles and I got bored with the puzzles and opted for a Breighton re-coloring. It all washed off and thankfully I didn’t color on anything that got in into trouble.

Mom’s Ramdomness

Mommy has been taking a lot of photos on her iPhone lately but has been too lazy to download them for me to blog. SO this is just a random post of things I have done in the last few weeks.

This was me at the Mickey Not So Scary Halloween Party. I got to ride a LOT of rides since the crowds weren’t too big. I enjoyed the carrousel a LOT.

Me playing with Legos… I can literally spend HOURS playing with the little pieces. Don’t mind the monkey outfit… I really like wearing it!

I have learned a new playground skill. I am learning how to climb the rock wall. I will only go a few feet up but I really have fun doing it!

This was at the car dealership. My CD player broke and Mommy and I spent a lot of time waiting. I spun in circles for a long time, oddly I don’t get dizzy. Mommy questions if I am her son? She gets motion sick just watching me!

I have really enjoyed the cooler weather lately. Mommy & Daddy took me to the playground where I spent MOST of my time making a HUGE pile of pine needles.

IMG_0029.JPG

Then I enjoyed jumping into them. Funny, I don’t think I have ever “seen” anyone jump in a pile of yard debris but yet I felt totally compelled to dive right in!

IMG_0031.JPG

It made me VERY happy!

I did hide my pine cones, that I found in the field, under my huge pile.

Here they are. I think I will go roll them down the slide!!! Great Idea!!!!

Through this tunnel and then down the slide!

I went to ANOTHER park with Mommy. I really enjoy swinging like a monkey on the bars.

IMG_0038.JPG

I made a new friend, Joanie (5y/o). We ran all over and looked in all the holes and played in all the bushes. She is very earthy like me.

We even climbed on rocks together. What a cutie! I really like playing with the older kids at the playground!

In other news… my moods have been up and down… mainly down lately. I have been aggressive and disobedient, but mainly towards Mommy. We had a few rough patches but today I am feeling a LOT better. My teeth are really bugging me and I don’t know why my impulse control is non-existent but I go from happy to miserable in 2 seconds!

Mommy hopes it all passes in the near future because it has been a challenge for the whole family. Thanks for all the advise from my friends and family that have helped get Mommy through these last few days.

I Like Scaring Mommy and Daddy

Today was a wonderful day. I got to go for a LONG walk with Mommy while she delivered newsletters to the neighborhood. We used a map and went “orienteering” to find the park. I made a few wrong choices in directions but I was really skilled at knowing where we were on the map. I really like maps! We found the playground on the map and went to the jungle gym. I suddenly LOVE slides and was very brave on the playground equipment. Mommy had a fun time watching me roll pine cones down the slides.

I ran around on the tennis courts until I could run no more! Daddy met up with us with the car and we went to Costco and Target to wander around for a bit. Then headed off to the Dunedin Art Harvest. It was a ZOO but we had a great time. I liked looking at all the different mediums that people made animals out of (wood, glass, photos, paint, metal and ceramics). We were all tired and decided to head home.

Mommy said she wasn’t going to make me take a nap today in hopes that I get a good nights sleep. Well, I fooled her… we were in the car heading home and I fell asleep in mid-sentence. Mommy and Daddy drove up and got ice cream while I napped.

When we got home (45 minutes later) I was just waking up and a bit groggy so it took me a while to boot up. Daddy was working on some signs for next weekend and I was playing on the floor of Mommy & Daddy’s bedroom while he worked(Mommy had run outside to look at a completed sign). I got up and wanted to “measure” Daddy with the tape measure. Well, I got a BIT excited and whacked my head into the corner of the dresser! I started to cry pretty hard as Daddy comforted me and screamed for Mommy. When Mommy came running into the room I cuddled into her arms. I was crying really hard. Then I threw up… a LOT. Mommy finally got me calmed down and cleaned up. So then it was “check Breighton for bumps and pupil dilation” to make sure I didn’t have a concussion. Well, I answered all Mommy’s questions that she drilled me with. There was only an eraser size bump on my forehead. I was back to normal within just a few minutes.

Mommy said she doesn’t really like being thrown up on so much this month. I don’t blame her. It is yucky.

Well, I am fine now and it is a while before bed so Mommy & Daddy can keep watching to make sure I am okay. They think the only reason I got sick was that I got upset and still have a bit on a lingering cough from being sick… so it was just a rough situation for me.

Good thing about the whole BUMP is that for the rest of the night I will be treated even more special than I always am treated. hehe.

Maybe I can have TWO desserts!?? Ya’ think??

Halloween and Sleeplessness

I had a total blast on Halloween. We went up to Grandma Jo and Grandpa Howie’s house for a quick dinner and then headed out at 6:30 for trick-or-treating. This was the first year I really “understood” what to do. I would RUN up and ring the bell and say “trick-or-treat” and then the people would open their door and I would just stand there all confused. It took me a few houses to understand tat I should wait until their doors were opened before I said “trick-or-treat”. I got LOTS of yummy candy, which Mommy and Daddy are limiting in moderation (while they scarf down all the GOOD stuff!). We went to about 30 houses before I got tuckered out. I really warmed up to the people about half way through and laid the charm on pretty thick. A few of my most memorable phrases were “May I have TWO?” “Happy Halloween”, “Where is your grandpa? (said to Grandma’s friend… I also kissed and hugged all her lawn ornaments!)”, “Pick me up (I got tired on the long breaks between houses)”. It was really a fun night and I am glad that we got to go out and the weather was actually not too bloody stinking hot! I took a quick bath at my grandparents house and then we all headed home for a story and night night time.

Other than that… I have officially adopted a new sleep schedule that Mommy is NOT pleased with. I am in by at my normal 8-9pm time frame and asleep by 9-10pm. Now I am up at 5am at the latest. I am waking up in the middle of the night and turning back on the light (that Mommy keeps shutting off!) then dozing off again. But the light is bright when I start to stir early so I think it is “DAY TIME!!! TIME TO WAKE UP MOMMY!”. *ugh* Which means I am siting at about 7-8 hours of sleep a night. I am however taking 2-3 hour naps to make up the difference.

Mommy is still trying to figure it out, and is about to give up and just accept the fact that I don’t need much sleep. I have been a happy boy and very energetic, hungry and playful. So it isn’t wearing on me yet, just Mommy.

Yesterday, while driving home from the playground with Mommy, I had a HORRID pain in my mouth. Mommy stopped the car to see why I was screaming at the top of my lungs ‘IT HURTS, MY TOOTH HURTS!” Well, I have a huge blood blister where my 2nd molar will eventually come through. Mommy said it must be close and that is why I am having a hard time sleeping. Hmmmm, I don’t know if i accept that answer just yet of if I would like to make Mommy and Daddy guess a bit more.

Daylight savings is this weekend and if I stick my my normal pattern of late Mommy will be rolling out of bed at 4 am!!!!! hehehe It is good to be the king!
