Yard Work

Mommy and Grandma Susie spent Sunday morning working on making the yard look pretty again. Mommy had spent 2 hours working on it yesterday during my nap and got all the weeding done and bushes trimmed. Today they laid out 80 bags of mulch and the yard looks AMAZING! They still need to do about 20 more bags but that should go quick. Daddy lugged all the bags and laid them all out so Mommy and Grandma Susie didn’t get sore backs. Mommy said it was good because she could hang my baby brother down since he has been stretching into her ribs and causing pain for a few days. Silly little brother!

Daddy watched me while they worked. We build a new table for my room and played with my kitchen toys. Then we played out back in the pretty yard as Mommy washed my wagon and finished picking up. I managed to get FILTHY in about 10 minutes. I was kicking a ball with Daddy and kept rolling in the grass and mulch.

After my nap Mommy & I met up with Daddy at Grandma Jo’s house again…. Four days in a row!!! I watched Dumbo (and ate pretzels…. Because that is what I do!) with Mommy while Daddy and Grandma Jo finished up the Christmas village. We had dinner and then came home. I am exhausted and heading to bed.

It was a VERY fun last four days…

Grandma Susie’s House!

Tonight Mommy and I went to Grandma Susie’s house to help set up her Christmas tree. I hung the stockings and helped sort the ornaments. We played with my blocks and balls and then finished all the holiday decorations. I am a good little helper!

Afterwards we went to pick-up Daddy at Grandma Jo’s and ended up staying until after 9pm while Daddy and Grandma Jo put up a bunch of her Chirstmas village. Considering how late it was I was VERY well behaved. In fact, I have been in a GREAT mood all week.

Happy 3rd Annual Cookie-a-thon

Today we had our cookie-a-thon.I got all dressed in my Santa suit (less the hat, it was too small for my big head!)

We were up early and headed to Grandma Jo’s house. Grandma Susie had pre-made her dough so things went quick for her. Daddy worked his tushie off making dough and baking cookies. I had a wonderful time eating all the raw dough!

I helped with the sprinkles and cutting cookies. I am quite the little baker!

I was very orderly about the sprinkles. Row by row…

Stopping for a quick taste of the sprinkles!

Mommy & Daddy bought me a gingerbread house kit and I had a blast helping Mommy and Grandma Jo put it together. Except I ate a LOT of the decorations! What was more sugar at this point. Sugar sugar and more sugar!

Nap time came and I really needed it. Mommy tucked me in my port-a-crib in Grandma’s office (it was the only quiet room!). She kept checking on me and I didn’t want to nap. I managed to get the desk drawer on Grandma’s desk open and pull out all the markers. Luckly Mommy caught me as I will still opening all the markers and sorting the lids and markers into piles.

Handing over the evidence…

Thank GOODNESS nothing got ruined and I didn’t get to color on the wall, myself or my books. Mommy and Grandma Jo took the markers away and I tried to go to sleep. I opted to tear apart a book and at that point Mommy gave up and let me come back out and help bake for a bit more. Then I got wound up by my cousins and kept getting into trouble. I was tired and cranky the rest of the day!

Happy Easter??

Easter?? Well, according to Grandpa Howie… it was Easter. We walked into the room in the morning and announced “HAPPY EASTER!” Strange. I got really excited that the Easter Bunny was going to hide more eggs. Oh well.

So on to Happy Turkey Day! Gobble Gobble! I had a wonderful time playing with Cousins Ian and Anna.

I am sure I learned a few new bad habits but I think I forgot most of them due to lack of naps.

Ian had fun pushing me around on my airplane.

I did manage to get in a short nap while everyone else ate their turkey and fixings. The day was pretty uneventful other than I was exhausted and saw a few family members.

I discovered that I am actually related to Mommy. I LOVE pistachios! After Grandma Jo shared a few with me Grandma Susie helped me open them up and eat them. YUMMIE!

Auntie Kim was sleeping on the floor and I woke her up with a kiss. Then another kiss for good measure!

I really enjoyed my day! 🙂

Done pile…

So when I play with my toys now I like to put things in the “done pile”. I am actually doing much better about picking up toys and cleaning up my messes. That or Mommy is becoming more tolerant and allowing me to be a bit silly before I more on to something new. Maybe a little of both.

Today I made a “maze” out of my Sheep Game and then built a farmhouse for me and my word puzzles to hide in. Mommy thinks I am very creative but also very goofy!
