Renissance Faire

Today we got up early and drove to Tampa for the Renaissance Festival.

To get in for free.. Mommy & Daddy gave blood! Ewwww! Emmerson and I hung outside with one parent while the other had their blood-letting.

When Mommy was done we headed inside and I got a neat dragon painted on my arm. The lady was really nice to me and I held REALLY still.

Daddy caught up with us (after going the wrong way… he forgot what LEFT meant). He snapped a few pictures of my new tattoo! Sorry the pictures are slightly fuzzy, the camera had the wrong settings and Daddy didn’t catch it until later in the day.

There were camel, horse and pony rides. I opted for the pony and the lady let me ride for about 5 minutes. After the ride she took me around and introduced me to all of the ponies. I rode on Zaah-Zee.

I got to make my own magic wand. First I picked a stick.

Then two magic feathers.

Mommy helped wrap the wand with a pipe cleaner.

Then a nice lady tied a ribbon on it.

Then I took it to a WIZARD and he “enchanted” my wand.

I had to stir the magic feathers to wake up the trolls who thusly sneezed on my wand and it was then MAGIC! VERY cool!

After the festival we stopped off at the farm for our weekly veggies. When we got home EVERYONE took a long nap (at the same time). For dinner we had yummy pasta, carrots and cheese.

My thoughts on my dinner… FORKS ARE FOR… NOT ME!

Surprisingly, I stayed pretty clean!

Friends

I am really into using my imagination lately. I LOVE to pretend and make believe. In my crazy games I always enlist a “friend”. I have mentioned my “friends” before. Here is a list of some of the “friends” that I have had over the last few weeks.

Empty box from Scooby-Doo Mac & Cheese

Scooby Doo shrinky-dink

Un-shrunk Fred Shrinky-Dink (From Scooby Doo)

Hippo in a dentist chair photocopied out of my Richard Scary Book

Picture of the Mystery, Inc. gang photocopied out of a book

Horse from my Lego castle

Stuffed dog from Wendy’s Kids Meal

Elephant that Mommy colored at the car doctor

Duck from Little Quack duck story book

The list goes on and on! They help me read, play games, go to the park and even go to sleep with me. I get very attached to my friends. Mommy said it is almost like a physical item representing an imaginary friend. Maybe I need to get out more. Maybe it is a manifestation of my struggling with new social skills in “together” play instead of “parallel” play. Either way Mommy and Daddy enjoy watching me grow and play. But PLEASE keep an eye on my friends locations because I will call for them at strange times and then BETTER be there for me! Whatever you do, don’t throw my trinkets away!

Playground Terror

Last week I had a few very rough days. My molars have been all puffy and bloody. I was at Gymboree Art Class and just BIT into Mommy’s arm. I left a HUGE black and blue mark. Sorry Mommy! I felt realy bad about it and Mommy said she understood because my teeth are making me really grumpy.

We left Gymboree shortly after the “bite” and went to Dunedin Rec Center. Ethan and his mommy met us there. We were having a blast playing and then I unleashed the terror. I bit Ethan! I got a major time-out times two or three! I don’t know what made me bite… my teeth make me do crazy things. I am SOOOO SORRY Ethan! Sorry I went back for more after the first bite. ugh!

Well, my biting has now stopped and I am a lot happier. The last two days I have listened well and slept even better. My teeth are looking a lot better and I have stopped asking for “tooth medicine”. Mommy has opted to let me have my binki when I get edgy. She can tell pretty quick when it is getting close. Thanks Mommy!

Ethan and I hung out again last night and we did fairly well with each other. No blood (other than some really random cut knuckles that no one could explain). I am going to miss my buddy Ethan when he moves. But we will always be buds!

Here are a few pictures Miss Jamie took at the playground of me!

Embarasing Mommy

Tuesday night we all went to Chick-fil-A for Family Fun Night. You get a free kids meal with each adult meal. After you eat you can play in the fun house thing and then they have a special event.

This week it was the Oldsmar Fire Department. I really like to check out fire trucks. They brought a HUGE ladder truck out. I was the first kid to go over to the firemen. I immediately introduced Emmerson “This is my baby brother, Emmerson”. Then proceeded with my normal explanation of who he is… “He came from Mommy’s tummy.” Then added a new line (lift Mommy’s shirt) “From her TUMMY!”

Mommy whipped her shirt back down and turned bright red, it was kinda cool! 🙂

Where HAVE I been???!

Mommy is having a rough time helping me blog lately. Mainly because there isn’t much downtime. Probably won’t be much downtime until Emmerson and I are on similar schedules. Mommy said when I sleep, Emmerson is awake and vice-versa!

Point is this… this is going to be a very random catch-up blog post and then Mommy will try to post more regularly for me.

This was from before Valentine’s Day. The promised picture of me rolling in the grass. Sorry it is blurry… I was rolling pretty fast.

Also… the hop-scotch board on the floor at the park.

Mommy, Emmerson and I went to the playground. I was having a BLAST! I was being very silly and got caught in the chains.

IMG_0214.JPG

I was going down the slide head first and suddenly a bug landed on the slide. My feet shot out and stopped me in mid-slide. I called for Mommy and all she did was giggle and snap pictures… Then she got rid of the HUGE bug (it as a flying ant…)

IMG_0211.JPG

I have enjoyed some cartoons (Max & Ruby) and “Captain Crunch” cereal. See my cool robot Mommy and I made a few weeks ago!!

IMG_0198.JPG

Mommy, Emmerson and I spent THREE hours at the car dealership getting the car worked on. I watched “Tom & Jerry”.

IMG_0193.JPG

All those mind rotting cartoons are balanced out by HEAPING piles of broccoli.

IMG_0189.JPG

Here is a family shot with Grandpa John. He was really neat to have around. I can’t wait until this summer when he moved back to Florida. Then I can see him more often! 🙂

Emmerson is still pretty neat. I like to hold him.

Mommy gave me Nutella with my broccoli one night.

DSC_9295

It made my head spin! I LOVED IT!

Mommy worked on SAD faces with me…

And HAPPY ones…

I got to go to EPCOT. They had this neat bug tunnel. I made Grandma Jo and Grandpa Howie crawl through it with me. I even knocked Grandpa Howie over in the tunnel.

IMG_0204.JPG

During the trip I tried to feed Emmerson a lollipop when no one was looking. Mommy caught me as it was inserted into Emmerson’s mouth. hehe! 🙂 I skipped my nap because I had so much fun, but I crashed in the car on the way home. Sunday we went to the “farm” and I skipped my nap again. Until 5pm when we were three blocks from home and I fell asleep in the car. Mommy carried me in and I took a 30 minute nap on the sofa.

DSC_9338

Don’t think I will skip that many naps.

That is it for now. Will post more soon!
