Oh dear… Not a good day…

Well, mommy and daddy were right. Yesterday I slept in until 9 am. (Yes. Me. The one who wakes up before dawn on a regular basis.) I had a 101 fever when I woke up but it was gone within a half hour. Mommy and Daddy decided to be safe and scheduled a doctors appointment for this morning. Yesterday afternoon I took a *long* nap (from 1:45 pm to about 5 pm). I *never* take long naps so mommy and daddy were a bit concerned. I got up from my nap and had a few bites of food but didn’t want to do anything but cuddle on the sofa and watch TV with mommy and daddy. Definitely not my normal self. You all know that normally I’m bouncing around exploring, learning, playing — instead I was lethargic, tired, sad, and pitiful.

So, this morning my doctor appointment rolled around. Turns out there’s a reason I’ve been off. My cough (which actually seemed to be getting better — at least I thought so) has turned into pneumonia. Not a bad case. Mommy and daddy got it caught early so I should recover quickly. But still, not fun! I get to be on Omnicef for a while 🙁

No play with my friends for me in the next few days 🙁 I miss you guys!

Well, I need to head with mommy to go get my ‘scrip. TTYL.

Avoid 53 bank!

Fifth Third bank is one of the worst banks Mommy and Daddy have ever dealt with. If you bank with them, you might want to consider switching banks! Trying to deal with them today left Mommy and Daddy very upset (which of course made me upset!) Daddy already had moved his corporate accounts to BB&T since they are much nicer people and care about your business. It’s a shame that 53 has lost it’s focus on their customers!

What a long day…

Today is Daddy’s turn to post to my blog. It’s going to be a super short post because our “24 hours of internet access” expires in about 10 minutes and the Hilton we’re staying at charges a FORTURNE for internet — especially if you have more than one laptop! Mommy plans a long post tomorrow with pictures, so hang in there!

In a nutshell:
* I fell asleep at 9 pm and Mommy & Daddy had to get me out of bed at 8 when they were ready to leave for the day.
* We went all around Barcelona. How fun! We took the Tourist bus.
* We saw all types of buildings by Gaudi.
* We went to the zoo. I discovered that Black Panthers seem to have hairballs too — at least they make the same (but *much* deeper sound) that our cats make. I also heard Mommy & Daddy & G’ma & G’pa Reed talking about the animals (Peacocks and Ostriches being “randy” and the Male Gorilla doing things to himself… Whatever. I don’t get it.)
* After a long day we were back at the hotel at 6-7 pm and I’m SOOOO tired I’m already mostly asleep. Early night for me unless Mom & Dad want to fight with me all night!

By the way, it’s worth it to stay at a Disney affiliated hotel for this cruise. You can actually check-in at their “table” in the lobby. They will pick up the bags at 8 and have the Key to the World cards available (here at the hotel) sometime in the morning. How cool. No need to do *anything* in the Barcelona Terminal. Just walk on the ship. Awesome!

Alright, off to bed!

Hmm… I think I get the whole “money” thing

Mommy and Daddy think they take me shopping too much. When we go to Super Target, I always ask for juice & cookies. Sometimes mommy & daddy will buy me a juice box and a box of Target animal crackers from the “food avenue” area (snack bar area). Well, a few days ago I wanted a wallet of my own. So, mommy gave me one of her extra ones and daddy gave me $2. Both mommy and daddy told me it was for me to use to buy juice & cookies at Super Target. So, a few days have passed and today while Daddy was watching me before work started, I got my wallet, and told daddy my money was “stuck” in the wallet. Daddy got my money out and I took one of the two dollars and handed it to daddy and told him “money juice B get juice”. Daddy wasn’t quite sure how to react. Should he tell me great job for understanding the concept of money or think that I was already trying to buy him off and get around the rule of having to eat my breakfast if I wanted any treats…. Daddy struck a compromise and told me he was very proud of me but that I still had to eat breakfast and the juice money was only for spending at Super Target. Oh bother. Well, at least I had fun with Daddy before he went to work!
