A mitzvah is when you do something good towards someone. Think of it as a good deed or act of kindness without being asked to do so. Each week a child in our class is recognized for doing a mitzvah. This week I was recognized. My mitzvah was “cheering up a friend who was sad.” My little friend Melanie was upset because she got a boo-boo and I helped her to feel better.
I hammed it up at the lunch table at Shabbatt with my certificate and sticker for the car.
