We spent the entire day at the National Zoo today. I had a small obsession with the statues. I had to have a photo with every one we saw.
This was a sand cat. It was super cute and slept curled up in a ball. 
Naked mole rats are very funny critters.
These little guys were pygmy marmosets.
Since we have our own phones this trip to take photos with I felt the need to take a zillion (550) selfies!
I was feeling goofy!
I loved the river otters. They were so playful and active in the drizzle rain.
The panda bears were adorable. This baby is a few months old and was getting in trouble with mama panda. The baby kept trying to climb the wall and mama would pull it back down and grumble. 
After the zoo we had to take a really long escalator to the Metro.
Oh I forgot we too a photo with the cool entrance sign!
