We went over to Legoland to celebrate Es 6th birthday this week. I loved the new Chima area.
I enjoyed racing the Chima Speeders on the cool stunt tracks.
I got to run the water cannon in the Pirate waterski show!
We took pictures with lots of lego sculptures and characters.
If you notice…we are SOAKED! The Chima ride really gets you wet.
I milked a fake cow. Really. It gives out a white liquid? Hmmm.
Happy 6th Birthday little brother!
We met at Hammock Park for a day of air potato pickups. I recruited kids from my 4-H club as well as Defenders of Nature. We learned all about air potatoes and why they hurt the environment. We learned what to look for in the woods and how to remove them.
We had an area marked off for our group. We looked high for dead vines and then scoured the ground finding all the fallen air potatoes.
We filled bag after bag.

We willed two truck loads! What a great way to help out a local park. Invasive species are no fun.
I am taking ice skating lessons now. I have signed up for 10 weeks of lessons. I have a few friends in the class as well as Cousin Zac.
the owl keeps returning to our back yard. I love to go out and talk to him and take photos of him. I am planning to enter some of my photographs into the 4-H contest this year.
For my gifted class we had to enter the PTA Reflections contest. I choose a picture of a spider making a web to fit the category “Believe, Dream, Inspireâ€. We got an email from my teacher that someone from the school won an award so we went to the ceremony to cheer on my fellow schoolmates. My name was printer in the brochure! A girl from my class won an award for a story she wrote. We figured that was all.
Suddenly, my photo appeared on the big screen!! I was one of two 3rd-5th graders chosen to go on to state competitions! I had to go up on stage to get my award.
I have a cool plaque with my name on it! AWESOME!
