This months school reading book is “The Secret Garden”. I am loving the book so much! I have built a Lego version of the garden and make tweaks to it as the story develops. Even Emmerson is into working on the garden with me. I can’t wait to read more!
We started out today going looking for garage sales but had no luck so opted for a trip to a corn maze. We were r route to one and saw a different that looked fun. We ended up at Harvest Moon Corn Maze.

There were three corn mazes. We started with the Square Pumpkin.
The next maze was the hardest. The had a maze game to play as you went through. You could punch your board to earn fake farm money. We got hooked on finding the signs and walked the maze twice. If was fun! I did get a bit burnt out because I was getting hot.
There were funny signs throughout the maze.
We found the lookout tower.
We got worn out!
After a water refresh we jumped for a while on the inflatable pillow.
We stopped at the pumpkin patch for a photo.
On the way home we stopped at Rural King to wander around. I loved the baby chickens!
We walked a lot and had a blast!
Today I built fairy houses in the garden.
After work Dad went with us to Honeymoon Island for an evening stroll and shell collecting
We stayed until sunset. There was a great blue heron stalking fish as the sun went down.
Daddy got a good family photo before it got dark out.
I learned a lot from the tree trimmers today! The trimmer told me all about the different tree layers, how they live, how palms can be damaged by over trimming and more!
After they trimmed the tree I asked for some pieces of wood and they have us each a few logs.
The tree looks amazing now and no longer hangs in the road and sidewalk.
someplace in the last two weeks I picked up lice. what a fun experience. Mom happened to look over during school and saw one on my head. This led to panic mood. Which resulted in a entire house cleaning, tons of laundry, treated heads (everyone!) and now daily combing and checkings. Dad even put one of the nits under a microscope. How cool! I am grossed out by it all and trying t be a good sport. Several friends had it too. Homeschoolers are not immune.
Mt. Laundry has now been completed!
