We have been enjoying evening walks around the neighborhood.

4-H is going along nicely. I still behave poorly at the meetings but am really trying to get better. I just get so excited.

Legoland to Celebrate Es B-day

We went over to Legoland to celebrate Es 6th birthday this week. I loved the new Chima area.

Happy 6th Birthday little brother!

Air Potato Pickup

We met at Hammock Park for a day of air potato pickups. I recruited kids from my 4-H club as well as Defenders of Nature. We learned all about air potatoes and why they hurt the environment. We learned what to look for in the woods and how to remove them.

We had an area marked off for our group. We looked high for dead vines and then scoured the ground finding all the fallen air potatoes.

We filled bag after bag.

This is just part of our collection.

We willed two truck loads! What a great way to help out a local park. Invasive species are no fun.
