This year we flew to Ohio instead of driving. IT was such a fun treat. We had fun hanging out in the airport and waiting for the plane to arrive.
When we got to Ohio I started right away on my stick collection. Grandma Susie has been saving sticks for me plus I raided the neighbors yard and dragged all their sticks over.
We had fun doing our normal Ohio things. We watched the heat powered spinning cherub chimes for a long time.
The neighbor girl came over and we watched the Smurf movie.
It snowed a little but we made the best of it.
I just enjoyed being outside all snuggled up in my winter gear.
More work on the stick pile and building in my fort.
A bit more snow! We scrapped all the snow all of the leaves and garbage cans and managed a small bucket full to play with.
We warmed up inside with some crafts. Grandma Susie found this mutant pinecone. We covered it with peanut butter and then birdseed.
Grandma hung the bird feeder (squirrel feeder) on the tree out front. We watched all day and no birds came, just squirrels.
We made sugar cookies.
I think I ate more than I decorated!
We had a galary showing of all Great Grandma’s art work. This is a portrait she painter of her mother.
Here is Grandma Susie’s portrait when she was a bit younger than Mommy is now.
We played lots of board games and Uno. The weather was perfect for hanging out inside!
It warmed up a little the next day and then got cooler again. Icicles formed on the bushes!
We collected as many icicles as we could and brought them inside to play with.
We enjoyed a day at the YMCA with swimming and playing in the indoor kids room. We took all the foam objects and made a bunch of cool castles.
They had this weird dance/game board. It was like a giant version of Dance Dance Revolution but with bugs!
Mommy got silly and pained out nails.
We made all sorts of gooey science experiments.
We all loved our trip to Ohio and can’t wait to go back to see Grandma Susie and Great Grandma Barbara in the spring.
