Ohio Winter Fun

We loaded up the car and drove to Ohio once again. When we finally arrived, after two days of driving, I was SO eager to get into the snow. All geared up and ready to go play.

Bliss!

I loaded just about everything I could find into the sled. I broke ice-cicles off the house, found sticks and logs in the yard, even added a few branches and then started to work on my building.

A stop to make a few snow angels.

We came inside to thaw and had a belated Chirstmas with Great Granny and Grandma Susie. Great Granny enjoyed opening her gifts.

DSCN0109

I tore into my stocking. Would you believe Santa dropped off a few gifts for Emmerson and me here in Ohio!

DSCN0112

I got some Zoobles and a playset for them.

DSCN0121

Grandma Susie enjoying the chaos that we bring.

DSCN0122

We loved the HexBugs from Grandma Susie. They are so amazing and cool.

DSCN0124

We spent a lot of time on the local snow hill sledding out our energy.

ZOOM!

DSCN0136

I liked going backwards!

DSCN0142

We did art projects with Great Granny and our neighbor friends.

DSCN0145

We really tried to maximize the snow time because warm weather was threatening.

My Kangaroo Walk-About

At Busch Gardens today I really wanted to see the kangaroos again. Emmerson was a great sport about not being able to go inside. Mommy snapped a few photos from over the fence.

Then I wanted the camera. I went on a near 40 minute solo voyage to talk to the kangaroos and trainers and anyone else that would listen to me! the following are all photos that I took with Mommy’s camera.

DSCN6254

The lazy kangaroo!

DSCN6256

Someone I didn’t know feeding the kangaroos.

DSCN6261

Someone else I didn’t know feeding the kangaroos.

DSCN6262

Someone ELSE feeding them.

DSCN6276

The one on the left is HOPPING!

DSCN6277

More random people feeding kangaroos!

DSCN6279

The darker brown ones were a bit more rough feeling than the grey ones.

DSCN6282

This one was REALLY lazy!

DSCN6291

One of the employees. She was super nice and told me lots of facts about kangaroos.

DSCN6322

DSCN6326

An albino kangaroo! apparently they are hunted for their beautiful soft fur and then people eat kangaroo meat. So this was an extremely rare sight to see!

DSCN6330

I LOVE KANGAROOS!

Another Day to Busch Gardens

My first stop was Egypt. I found a penny squishing machine that had a penny with a sarcophagus on it!

DSCN6190

I was just a little too short for this.

DSCN6192

So cool!

DSCN6193

I LOVED all the Egyptian stuff. I was a bit scared because I thought the mummies might come to life.

DSCN6194

Inside a model of King Tut’s tomb was awesome. Everything was sparkling with GOLD!

DSCN6195

King Tut’s Sarcophagus. I am really obsessed with Egypt lately.

DSCN6196

Pretending to dig up artifacts.

DSCN6199

Taming a wild hippo! They kept trying to eat me!

DSCN6202

Thank goodness Emmerson is getting some muscles and was able to pull me out!

DSCN6205

I climbed the big one!

DSCN6207

I had fun riding the rides with Emmerson.

DSCN6213

I think I am a bit on the big side but I can still do most for a few more inches.

DSCN6219

There was a tiger pop-up area. I was really shocked to climb up and find a tiger nearly laying on my HEAD!

DSCN6222

The bengal tiger was so pretty.

DSCN6223

Mommy tricked me onto this ride.

DSCN6226

It went shooting up like the Tower of Terror! I survived but was as white as a ghost when I got off the ride.

DSCN6228

I had a lot of fun climbing in all the ropes and slides. Emmerson got scared so he and Mommy stayed outside and let me play alone. Then I wanted to feed the lorikeets. One landed on my head but I held my cool. Then about 5 flew in and landed on me and then more on Mommy. We were covered in birds!

DSCN6234

This was SO much fun!

DSCN6236

I flopped around with Emmerson in the giant air mattress play area.

DSCN6240

I made a new friend. She kept handing me sand to fill my cement truck. I think she liked me!

DSCN6246

We saw the kangaroos again… something for another post… stand-by!

Yet again, I made my ‘rents proud of me…

Today, driving over to Tampa, seeing all the homeless asking for handouts on the street corners, I told Mommy: “I want to buy water and snacks to keep in the car and give to the homeless people we see while driving.”

Updated: I’ve clarified my intentions… I want to give out crackers (like those packs of Lance crackers that I get from Costco), water, and, to any of the homeless that have kids, toys I no longer play with or am willing to part with.
