Asheville, North Carolina

We are thinking about moving to Asheville, NC. We took a family trip up to check things out and to start the ball rolling on looking for land. We made it a fun vacation as well.

We drove the entire first day. In the morning of the second day we opted for a drive out on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

We stopped and went hiking on some trails.

We had a lot of fun looking at the nature.

A real BIG bumblebee!

I never once asked to be picked up and carried! I was having so much fun with all the nature.

We took a little break on a log.

Daddy snapped some photos! 🙂

The air was kind of chilly. I wished I had a jacket!

What a view. I think I could TOTALLY live here! 🙂

I think we were all smiling at the fun we were having!

Daddy and Emmerson were here too! Emmerson got to “ride” instead of hike. Maybe next time! 🙂

Next we stopped at a nature center. We went on a hiking trail that was educational. We learned all about a portable saw mill. Then we found a cool old engine! 🙂 I got to ring the bell… DING DONG!

So cool!

ALL ABORD!

Next we went to a trout farm. They had huge rows of trout in various sizes of growth.

I liked watching them all splish and splash around

We even got to throw in food for them. I think Emmerson ate some of it!

Our last stop was at a little river to go wading. The water was FREEZING (to me at least). Mommy rolled up my pants and sent me in to play.

Soon, I forgot it was cold and was having a blast! 🙂

TA DA!

Then my pants were wet so I figured, hey why not! I just went in deeper! 🙂

I spent a while building a wall with the big rocks. Emmerson and Mommy raced leaves in the current.

All was well until I shared a rock with Emmerson and then opted to share another right on top of his hand while it was on the first rock. His finger got cut open and bruised. That was the end of that!
