Great Granny Allen passed away on September 20th. She was 94 years old. We traveled north with Mommy to say our goodbyes and have one last hurrah in Ohio. We miss Great Granny terribly and are so grateful that we got to share so many memories with her. I really will miss baking cookies with her, making shrink dinks with her and teaching her to play the kazoo! She would sing to us all the time. She was funny and so loving.
My Memories:
Picking crab apples and making deer soup
Building in the back yard with all the sticks we could drag over.
Getting along with Emmerson as we worked on all of our projects.
Putting a rock that Great Granny painted with her for eternity.
Sharing memories with family.
Remembering the life of such an awazing woman.
After the funeral we had to take Matt back to the airport. We spent the day in Pittsburgh exploring.
We sorted bugs!
We dug for Dinosaur bones.
Back in Ohio we caught more strange bugs.
We explored Amish Country.
We saw 37 buggies!
We visited Lake Erie and the playground we liked so much.
The scary slide was retrofitted so you can’t fall off at the top!
We played on the stinky beach. There was a recent fish fill.
I got to know Uncle John and Aunt Tara better.
I went down the scary slide for the first time.
We made wishes.
We found fish bones.
We skipped stones and collected some for memories.
we visited the “old family cottage” and saw all the upgrades.
We had DONUTS!
We spent some quality time with Grandma Susie.
We even went to a fall festival and painted pumpkins.
We wrapped up with a playground trip.
Mommy spent the evenings working on boxing peoples treasures up to ship back to Florida.
We love you Great Granny may you rest in peace!
