It has been a rough few days for me. I really made Mommy and Daddy mad to the point where I lost EVERYTHING in my room except the bed, shelves and carpet Mommy and Daddy piled everything into their room while I sat in the hallway and cried. I have been working super hard to earn it all back, one toy at a time! UGH!
Last night I earned my stuffed animals back. I think Mommy caved since I have so many and they were piled on the bed in the master bedroom. I am sure Mommy and Daddy just wanted a place to sleep. Anyway, this morning Emmerson and I were playing in my room with the stuffed animals. I set up a pet store. I put different animals on the shelves and invited Mommy and Daddy in to shop for a new pet.
Mommy wanted to buy the creature on the bottom shelf.
I insisted he was not for sale.
It reminded Mommy of a Shel Silverstine poem called “For Sale” . Maybe I could sell my baby brother?
For Sale
One sister for sale!
One sister for sale!
One crying and spying young sister for sale!
I’m really not kidding,
So who’ll start the bidding?
Do I hear the dollar?
A nickel?
A penny?
Oh, isn’t there, isn’t there, isn’t there any
One kid that will buy this old sister for sale,
This crying and spying young sister for sale?
