Well, we made it to Asheville. Grandma Jo road with Mommy, Emmerson and me. Daddy drove Grandpa Howie. It was a wonderful drive and we all were on our best behavior. Despite one lousy experience at a McDonalds in SC that wouldn’t open the kids play area up, we had a fun trip. We got about 30 minutes outside of Asheville and got a phone call that said stay put, await instructions. We did. The house was without power and the roads were a bit too unsafe for a minivan to make it through. We got a hotel about 10 minutes away. I got to share a bed with Grandma Jo. I was SO happy! It was like a little campout. Plus I got some time away from Emmerson. I was aslep in 30 minutes of being dropped off at their room, oh well! Still fun! In the morning we all slept late, 7am! After we got a free breakfast in the hotel Mommy geared us up and took us outside to the side of the hotel to play in the snow!!! It was AWESOM! We threw snowballs! We tried to make a snowman but the snow was ice on top and pure fluff that wouldn’t pack, super dry snow! oh well! We had a blast!
Lesson learned, don’t throw snowballs at Mommy.. she can get MEAN! haha It was fun though! 🙂 Daddy shoved snow down Mommy’s shirt! MEAN DADDY! haha
Then we loaded up the cars and headed out to see if we could get into the house. Sure enough, we could! Only problem, the driveway was full of snow! Oddly at that very moment Grandma spotted two trucks full of guys with shovels!!! They said it is their job to shovel the driveways but they were going on lunch break. Grandma said NO WAY and they were so kind to shovel the drive since the moving truck was on the way. Less than 15 minutes later we were parked in the garage and unloading the cards! 🙂 WOO HOO!
Emmerson and I ran all over the house. I was doing knee slides across the kitchen floor. This place is awesome! The movers can’t get a crew together but the truck with their stuff was out front a few minutes ago. So we shall see when they start moving things into the house. I think I will visit often.
After a small yet very good lunch of cheese and crackers Emmerson and I got to play outside!!! We wanted to play on the patio versus the yard. There was about a foot of snow to play in there.
Mommy made a few little snowpeople while I enjoyed tossing snow off of the deck to the ground below.
I even learned how to make a snowball!
Emmerson and I cooperated for a few pictures, odd!
Then i smashed the head of the snowman and Mommy was sad. I fixed it with her help eventually.
This is the attitude of a soaking wet, yet completely content, 4 year old! 🙂
Tossing more snow.
So much fun! 🙂
Look I am a reindeer!
Oh, that’s better! 🙂
I have antlers!!!
I love North Carolina.
The front of Grandma and Grandpa’s new house.
Looks at the pretty shovel driveway. It would have taken us a week to dig that out.
From down the hill a bit. Who would have thought NC would have gotten this much snow!!! There is about 10-18 inches in different spots. At least the moving truck made it here now they just have to find a crew to unload the truck! 🙂
