Today I went to the Florida Aquarium with some friends from MOMs Club! š
We had a real fun time!
Here is me in my ROCKIN’ sunglasses! (I kept them on for 15 min!)
Mommy let me play in the sandbox.
I only ate a LITTLE sand before Mommy said NO!
But I tried to DRINK a lot of sand… but Mommy caught me!
I thought it was more fun to scale the benches than look at fish.
But I found the fish eventually and pointed them all out.

Mommy and Daddy bought me a Fisher-Price Little People Farmhouse. I really like all the animals and sounds that it has. I spend hours each day playing with it. Daddy said I needed to let people know what I would like for my birthday. Since this is my favorite toy and I have the book about it too… they make some really neat things to go with my toy that I think would be cool:

I also really like wooden board puzzles. The kind with shapes/animals or other things that I can make fit (or taste, I am a good taster!!)
I wear 24 month clothing or 2T fits but is just a little big… yeah i am a BIG boy!
Mommy said I don’t really need birthday gifts but if people want to know what I like to play with… that’s that! š

I have had a fun week. Mommy and Daddy are so proud of me. For the last three nights I have slept well for the first time in a long time. My bedtime is now 8 pm and I haven’t gotten Mommy up until 6:30 am! Mommy loves me. I have become a more confident stander and prefer standing to sitting or kneeling. I rarely hold onto things now and have taken a few practice steps to get places. I am not one for “finger walking” but I try just to make Mommy and Daddy happy. I like to stand up and then squat down to pick up toys and they stand right back up and giggle.
Today is my 11 month birthday and I am having some friends over to play later after my nap.
Oh yeah, I have a few new tricks too. I surprised Daddy with a new word… “FISH!” I can point out fish, pigs, cows, cats and a few other animals in my books. I still like my books. I am really enjoying the wooden puzzles where i can try to make things FIT into different places. I am skilled at my shape sorters too!
Mommy has a fun game she plays with me and I enjoy messing with her head when we play. She points to herself and says “MaMa” so I point to her and say “DaDa” we do this back and forth for a long time and finally she gives up and says fine “DaDa!” Daddy thinks it is cute and he laughs at me when I do it. So I think I will keep it up a bit longer and then maybe next month call my loving mother “MaMa!”
I am enjoying being 11 months old. It is hard to believe I was ever THAT tiny!
I made Mommy and Daddy so happy!

I have been sick this week. Daddy jokes that it is Hoof and Mouth Disease. It is really Hand, Foot & Mouth. But thank goodness I didn’t get a really bad version of the virus. I only had a really very mild case. Probably because I was on antibiotics for my ear and my immune system was in full gear. Mommy and Daddy said I still couldn’t go play or visit anyone. I am sad that I can’t have friends over. But tomorrow I get to go back to Gymboree. YEAH! I am over my ear infection now too! So maybe this week will be good!
Thanks for making sure I am a healthy kid so I can play even harder! š
