Project MC2

We saw an advertisement on Disney for this toy and just had to have it. We spent some of our saved allowance. It is a toy that you clip to things that are conductive and they function like a piano or making cat noises. We found lots of metal things and even some Hersey’s Kisses. They also work by clipping them to your finger and a friend’s finger.

Rainbow Springs State Park Camping

We had a great time camping at Rainbow Springs State Park campground. We took several hikes. I pointed out all the flora and fauna along the paths.

IMG_5800

E and I had a great time playing with ropes, digging and exploring at the HUGE campsite.

IMG_5803

We turned the ropes into a partial zip-line. It wasn’t really functional but we had a great time trying to make it work.

IMG_5805 IMG_5811

Dad has some work to do so we explored the rivers edge and saw an otter, a cottonmouth and a lot of ducks. We also played ping-pong.

IMG_5822

After lunch we headed over to the State Park. We took a swim in the headsprings.

IMG_5831

It was chilly at first but I went in rather quickly.

IMG_5833 IMG_5834 IMG_5839 IMG_5841

E was scared to go in. Really scared of alligators. I gave him a piggy back ride over to Mom’s legs.

IMG_5857

Soon he and I were both all over the springs.

IMG_5872

We dried off and warmed up and went for a hike. It is neat to see the remains of the old entertainment park that used to be here. The waterfalls are all artificial.

IMG_5875

There are even old zoo cages. We did a lot of speculating about what animal had what habitat.

IMG_5878

We saw a dung beetle hard at work.

IMG_5884

The next morning we were up and headed to rent canoes to travel along with river. I was in a pre-teen MOOD. Mom talked me through it and we moved along.

IMG_5896

We all successfully got in the canoe and made it to the head springs.

IMG_1314

We hiked around some of the areas we didn’t explore yesterday. I showed Emmerson an example of cat face, from the turpentine industry.

IMG_5899

It was beautiful weather for hiking.

Back at the campground for cleaning up the site, campfire and relaxing. It was a great long weekend.

Valentine’s Weekend at Grandma’s House

I have been doodling cockroaches lately. I have many pages of different breeds I wish existed.

IMG_5760

E and I spent the weekend with Grandma Susie so Mom and Dad could work on the motorhome tasks without us under foot or bored. Grandma wore us out with hikes, games, baking and more.

IMG_5776

We even built a fort in the living room. E slept in the fort and I slept on the sofa.

IMG_5779

We had some great hikes at the park and then down the road towards Publix.  We had to climb all the trees on the way.

IMG_5782

When we got back to our house on Sunday, E and I were best buddies. We snuggled up on the sofa and read Harry Potter together. IMG_5793

Robotics Class at the Library

We went to a little class on robotics at the Seminole Library today. They had all sorts of different examples of cool models of robots. We got to play with them all and even build some.

IMG_5729

We had a lot of fun and made some new friends.

IMG_5731

I works on the BitBot for quite a while. I got it up and running just as the program ended.

IMG_5732

We were the last kids left in the room and were desperately trying to get it to work. We finally did.

IMG_5737

I came home and was inspired to play with my Sphere SPRK. I finally got the app working correctly and had a great time buzzing around the house.

Dunedin Mardi Gras

We crashed the curb at Mom’s friend’s house. It was very chilly and the wind was whipping. We bundled up and stood our ground so we didn’t loose our spots. We were so cold he all hid in our hats. Ms. Gail was funny.

IMG_5716

Right before the parade Mom and I walked downtown to get hot cocoa. I ran into my dear friend, Kirsten. I miss seeing her at the baseball games.

IMG_5722

The parade was fantastic as usual and we got a ton of beads!
