Mom is trying to ensure we get our moneys worth out of the new State Park pass. Today we met Grandma and Grandpa up in Spring Hill for exploring. We saw the wild peacocks.

Flowers and Shells

Lowes had a great deal on flowers so we bought a few more for the garden. The deal was that Emmerson and I had to do all the planting.

I really focused on picking the perfect spot for the plants.

I was interrupted in my planting by a call from my FLVS Fitness class teacher. I knocked that assignment out really quick so I could get back to planting.

In the afternoon we went to Honeymoon Island to go for a beach hike and shell collecting with friends.

We found lots of bivalves that were washed up in the tides.

Lowry Park Zoo with Grandma Susie

Today we went to the zoo with Mom and Grandma. It was rather cold out and we were afraid that the animals would be hiding. Surprisingly there were lots of animals out and about. The only thing hiding were our cold noses and fingers.

IMG_6743

We enjoyed a near empty carousel.

IMG_6772

A completely empty penguin exhibit.

IMG_6775

The safari ride was fantastic as lots of animals were up and about because of feeding time.

Lunch time and tired kids means begging for junk food. No junk food.

IMG_6794

Silly photos and lots of smiles.

IMG_6796

I even got along with Emmerson all day!

IMG_6801

Emmerson and I rode the tiger coaster TWENTY-FIVE times in a row!

IMG_6834

We got turned upside down in the bat area.

What a great day and we were super glad that Grandma Susie was able to join us.

Dragon Hunters

Grandma Susie came over to play today while Mom and Dad went out shopping. We went to the playground and then played int he front yard. We had an entire adventure with capturing dragon eggs.

When Mom and Dad got home we tried out our new bows in the yard. I am really going to have to work on my arm strength but I am getting the hang of the bow with all the sights and peep to look through.

Pinellas Country Fair and Apple/Pecan Cookoff for 4H

Our kitchen was a buzz all evening in preparation for the Apple/Pecan Cookoff for 4H. I made a cinnamon pecan sticky bun, I got 1st place for that. I also entered a Old Fashioned Apple Cake and got a 2nd place ribbon for that entry. May of my friends also got blue or red in their categories.

IMG_6680

I did fantastic with the knife and chopping up all the apples.

IMG_6682

I entered photos into the Country Fair as well. I received two first place ribbons and 3 second place ribbons in the categories I entered.
