Today we decided to call 4H Work Day. We started in the morning with working in our Pre-Flight Aerospace books. We made rockets out of marshmallows.
We made flight flip books.
We learned about the principles of flight.
Later at our club meeting I ran the meeting.
We did an activity on race cars.
I worked with Lex.
Our team did a great job and we didn’t come in last place even though we had a VERY expensive car to produce.
Our Legoland passes are good for a few more months but we never got over to the water park all summer. It is only open on weekends now so we braved the weekend crowds and headed out. We rode a lot of rides as we made our way to the back of the park to splash in the waters.
We played in the water park for several hour and loved all the water tube rides and water slides. Then off to Chima World to get wet again and see if we could find any characters. We found Laval and snuck up on him for a big hug!
Our friends lost their floating home in a fire this week. They are temporarily staying in a hotel and don’t have much wiggle space. The boys came over today so their parents could tend to some things. We played with legos for hours.
We went to the playground and hunted bugs and lizards.
We hiked along the river, on the side Mom said we shouldn’t go. I got stunk by a wasp, silly me and not listening.
We came home and scrapped the mud off and played bay blades.
Dinner and a movie.
Then off to the store for cinnamon roles for breakfast.
We left them in the car by mistake when we got home. Oh well! The boys ended going home before morning so we didn’t need them anyway!
I am enjoying my Studies Weekly papers. I really like the science ones.
I am also enjoying my FLVS Science class. I am on track to finish an 18 week course in under 7 weeks!
Today I was exploring friction by rolling a ball down a ramp onto different surfaces.
We took a homeschool ice skating open house class.
I worked some more on my photography.
We had a big playground event planned but it got rained out so Mom made E and I a cool tent in the bedroom to play in. We plan to sleep in it tonight.
Mommy made me a hedge-podge plate. It was a aquarium themed dinner.
More ice skating classes. I got put in the highest skill level class. That doesn’t mean that I am a skating superstar, it means that I could make it across without falling over and knew some basic skills.
