A friend organized a post office tour for today. We got to go behind the scenes at the Clearwater Post Office on Belcher Road. We watched a person putting the mail into the post boxes.
We learned about the sorting facility (we were not at the sorting facility).
We learned that even adults don’t follow all the rules. “Please turn empty equipment upside downâ€â€¦ the stack not he left is NOT upside down… yet empty. Also “Do not place tubs and trays above the lineâ€â€¦ clearly they are stacked higher than the blue line! Hmmm.
In the mornings there are lots of postal workers sorting their routes and loading their trucks. We came at 10am and it was a ghost town!
After our field trip we played at the house, technology free, for the rest of the day. I made all sorts of creations.

We also have a LOT of monarch caterpillars on our milkweed! I looked the the leaves closely and see LOTS of little eggs growing and waiting to hatch. I am really enjoying my time in the butterfly garden!
