We went to Sarasota to see the DaVinci Exhibit. I loved seeing all the copies of his famous artwork.

I even found my favorite painting called “Lady and the Ermine”.

It was neat to see DaVinci’s drawings and sketches made into actually items.

We could touch a lot of the contraptions.

This was a military device you could attach to the back of a horse. The blades would spin and chop up the attackers! DaVinci was weird!

After the exhibit we walked next door and used our passes to get into the history museum and aquarium. We met Snooty the Manatee.

We also saw a few planetarium shows. One was about stars and the other was a laser show set to Christmas music. It made me dizzy.

Our team finished all the building and displays for the expo. We have a scale model of a seismograph.

We met at MOSI for a fun day of Legos. I was happy to see a T.A.R.D.I.S. in the lobby.

We had a great team this year.

Getting interviewed by the judges was much easier this year. We all had something fun to ad to the interview.

We passed the time after judging by making costumes out of scrap fabric.

FINALLY, the awards.

We got a trophy for Great Minds.

Team Lego Rat Snakes!

We have been enjoying a lot of downtime this month. We took a break from school, mostly. We love out Lego advent calendars.

I have been making LOTS of loom bands.

We got the yard all done and have been enjoying our fire pit.

We had a HUGE truck full of mulch delivered today.

We played int he pile for a while and then got to work after breakfast.

It took us about 6 hours.

And the help of two awesome teenagers…

But we got all the mulch spread and the yard looks awesome!

We took a day trip to Disney before Grandma Susie’s pass expired.

We visited Hollywood Studios specifically to see the Phantasmic show since we already bought the ears earlier this season.

We found Power Rangers in one of the shops and had to have our photos taken with them.

Not too happy to be waiting so long for the show.

The crowds were HUGE!

I loved the show and especially the dragon and all the singing.

Now off to the Osborn Lights!

This never gets old!
