Learning to be an Arborist one tree at a time
Our neighbors had a tree that was dying and needed to come down. Mom asked the tree trimmers to remove one of our palm trees that we hated. The palm tree came down in ONE THUD!
We sat outside most of the day and watched them dangle from the big tree, rope off branches, saw and swing the branches safely to the ground. We had hearing protection because it was insanely loud.
That is the tree that is coming down.
The neighbor is giving us a few pieces of the trunk so we can use the nice holly wood for our lathe.
Threshers Rain Delay and Western Night
Emmerson had bad behavior so he stayed home with Daddy. Mommy and I went to see the game but it was paused part way though for a rain delay.
The rain let up for a while but they didn’t prep the field because another band was coming quickly. I wandered around with my friend, Kiersten, and checked out the events for the evening.
Then the rain came back….HARD!
We hid under my umbrella as the rain was blowing through the breezeway.
Eventually the rain passed and we visited the ponies.
We also found Phinley walking a pony.
The game was canceled eventually because the field was too wet. Oh well… another game tomorrow!

Harry Potter Mania
I finished up all the Harry Potter books in the last 30 days and as a reward Mommy was going to take me to a huge library event for Harry Potter fans. We found out a few days in advance that the event was only for teens! I was very sad. Mommy and Daddy threw our own Harry Potter weekend. We watched all the movies and ate lots of fun snacks.
Daddy made a neat schedule of events to keep us on track.
Acid Pops— Lollipops dipped in honey and coated with pop rocks.
Broom making.
Mundane Muggle Muffins aka homemade English Muffins.
Daddy bought a box of chocolate frogs! They even come with trading cards.
Making pretzel wands for later in the day.
Eating more acid pops
Butter beer!
Buttersnaps
Day 2 breakfast of Hufflecakes— Beignets!!!!
Cockroach clusters were a huge ugly hit.
We had a great weekend. I don’t think I can watch any more TV or sit still for any longer. I need to go run a few miles, ride my bike and scooter.
