I got to choose all the activities for today since it was my birthday. Mom gave me a few options as starting points. I chose MOSI in Tampa. I have really wanted to see the new Sea Monsters exhibit. When we got there I spotted the ropes course and decided I wanted to try that today.
Harnessing up!
Getting instructions.
Off I go!
At first I stuck to the stairs and climbed all the way to the top.
I was a tad nervous but hung out on the higher platforms just observing a few other kids to see how they were getting around. I opted to follow a girl across a few obstacles. I got scared on one and turned back but was able to get through about 10 others without my heart jumping out of my body!
So proud!
Then we visited the Sea Monsters Exhibit. WOW!!! They had lots and lots of preserved sea life that was necropsied and each displayed different parts of the animals. Some showed gills, others muscles, others nervous systems and brains and my favorite were the thin slices of animals.
Mommy liked the exploded view of the grouper.
They even had a giant manta ray!
A giant megladon! I told Mom that the smallest tooth in it’s mouth is about the size of my megladon tooth I have at home.
This was a Thresher Shark! We are going to send a picture to Phinley, the mascot for the Threshers.
We wandered around for a bit after the Sea Monsters. I wanted to try the suspended bicycle. It took me two tries waiting in line to get on the bike and buckle up. I got terribly scared but I did it!
Back on the ground and in much need of a piece of candy to calm my nerves!
When Daddy got home we went out to eat Chinese buffet at Chopsticks and then went to Congo River Golf and played putt-putt.
I even got to feed the alligators!
We played a game of air hockey and then headed for home.
Daddy bought some awesome cupcakes on the way home from work.
I can’t believe I am 8!
