Thunder thought the bunnies were for him.

IMG_3254

Very quickly we destroyed the living room.

IMG_3264

I can’t wait to sink my teeth into the bunny!

IMG_3265

We colored some eggs.

IMG_3270

I even ate part of a hard boiled egg!

IMG_3273

My bunny can’t hear!!!!

IMG_3279

Our family egg hunt was massive since we had a lot of eggs left from the party.

Jr FLL Battle By the Bay

Our lego team, Homeschool Lego Leopards, was hard at work the last few months doing research and building with out Legos. It all paid off at the Battle By the Bay Expo at the Glazer Museum. There were lots of prizes to win.

Everyone got a medal for participation.

We put together a nice display and a cool model. The theme this year was “Snack Attack”. We had to pick a snack food and research how the ingredients got to our tables and how it was kept safe along its voyage. We picked pizza and had a great time researching.

IMG_3202

The build contains near full cycle of the food. From the farm, to the delivery truck to a refrigerator and finally to a sink to be washed.

At the expo I was more interested in the big robots that the small projects. I can’t wait until I can compete on the robotics teams.

Hanging with some friends watching the robots.

Florida Aquarium

This month we can get into the aquarium for free so we went over and had a great day out. I learned a few new things about otters.

IMG_3161

IMG_3162

I helped show Emmerson all the plants and animals in the estuary area.

IMG_3164

I was so proud of myself for being such a good big brother.

IMG_3170

I kept trying to convince Mommy to walk across the glass over the shark cage. She would have nothing to do with it.

IMG_3177

I liked watching the divers in the huge tank. I thought it was funny how they communicated with the crowd. They sounded a bit funny.

IMG_3183

We checked out the leafy sea dragons (my favorite besides otters) and then played in the water park for a bit before calling it a day.

Flounder?

For my gifted class we had to do a project on an animal Lewis and Clark found along their journey. Most of the kids picked big animals like bears, mountain lions and buffalo. I picked the flounder. I had a blast doing the research at the library and then building my diorama. I get to turn it in to my teacher in May.
