Can you say obsessed? Lately, this is all I talk about. Skylanders this and skylanders that. I have a lot of friends with the game and we all like playing it.

To get further in the game you need to have more figures. Sadly, they are really hard to find. I begged Mommy and Daddy to drive all over town one day. We now have all the ones we are looking for but there were many places like in the photo below.

We went with my friends, Joshua and Chase, to Weedon Island for a scallop study. We had a blast playing in the nature center before our class.

In the class we learned a LOT about scallops. I loved learning about their eyes the most. Then we got to walk down to the boat dock and pull up a trap full of baby scallops. Our job was to measure all the scallops, check them for good health and then clean the trap and put them back in the water.

I learned how to use calipers.

We all liked the orange scallop the best. It was also one of the biggest scallops.

When we finished the class we took a short nature hike and saw a wild gopher tortoise. It hissed a LOT!

I really don’t like haircuts but Mommy said I needed a little trim. Don’t I look terribly thrilled?

I really have no clue what this lady was doing. It came out really nice but were all this hideous clips really necessary?

I am having great luck with my garden so far this year. Everything is coming up green and yummy looking.

I am very pleased with my garden this term.

This is an olla. It is used to help drip irrigate the plants. You can see my squash are already starting to grow!

I am also working hard on my handwriting. It has always been a challenge for me. Mommy and Daddy got a new program called “Handwriting Without Tears”. It seems to be more my speed. It is silly and the lessons aren’t too long.

We met my friend, Zoe, at Weeki Wachee Springs for a day of sun, mermaids and swimming.

I make a great merman!

We all were super silly and loved having our photos taken.

We found pin fish in the water and even a turtle.

We had a blast on the boat ride. The water was amazingly clear.

Zoe had her Flat Stanley type cut out with her. Mommy made sure it got in a few pictures.

The mermaids were cool. There was a turtle that kept trying to bother one of the mermaids. I laughed super hard.

I didn’t want to get too close and make the mermaid loose her tail.

They had a really neat native animal show. I kept shouting out all the answers to the questions.

After we played in the park we went to Buccaneer Bay water park and swam in the pool and then the spring fed river. It was not too cold and not too hot. I had my vest on and swam all over the place. What a fun time!
