It has been a rough few days for me. I really made Mommy and Daddy mad to the point where I lost EVERYTHING in my room except the bed, shelves and carpet Mommy and Daddy piled everything into their room while I sat in the hallway and cried. I have been working super hard to earn it all back, one toy at a time! UGH!
Last night I earned my stuffed animals back. I think Mommy caved since I have so many and they were piled on the bed in the master bedroom. I am sure Mommy and Daddy just wanted a place to sleep. Anyway, this morning Emmerson and I were playing in my room with the stuffed animals. I set up a pet store. I put different animals on the shelves and invited Mommy and Daddy in to shop for a new pet.
Mommy wanted to buy the creature on the bottom shelf.
I insisted he was not for sale.
It reminded Mommy of a Shel Silverstine poem called “For Sale” . Maybe I could sell my baby brother?
One sister for sale!
One sister for sale!
One crying and spying young sister for sale!
I’m really not kidding,
So who’ll start the bidding?
Do I hear the dollar?
Oh, isn’t there, isn’t there, isn’t there any
One kid that will buy this old sister for sale,
This crying and spying young sister for sale?
Today was officially TOASTY outside. Mommy had put my hair back in a ponytail in the morning and added a TON of hair gel to keep it back. By afternoon it was all down again. We had a fun afternoon in the backyard staying cool in the shade and playing in the little pool.
I only squirted Mommy about 5 times!
What a fun day! 🙂
Mommy wrote and essay and won! We won a Disney Big Red Box. The box contained a lot of Disney treats: crayons, coloring book, pop out Mickey ear hat, Mickey straw, a canvas bag and more. Mommy made some snacks that they suggested on the Mickey Moms Club website: Swiss Family Robinson’s trees (pretzel sticks with peanut butter, raisins and nuts), Minnie popcorn balls, and Butterfly PB&J sandwiches. The website also had game ideas (the box included Wish makers (cootie catchers) and Disney Bingo. We also made some coffee filter butterflies.
The wind kept popping all of out mouse balloons. In fact a few got carried off into the trees.
When we finished up the butterflies we decorated bean bag socks to look like bugs.
Mommy brought my bug blanket and we all grabbed a corner. She tossed the “bugs” in the middle.
We SHOOK and SHOOK and SHOOK! We had so much fun!
It was a beautiful day at the playground with great friends celebrating whatever we could think of. Thanks to Disney for such a neat idea!
