Carnegie Museum of Natural History

Mommy, Uncle Matt and I went to the Carnegie Museum of Natural History in Pittsburgh on the way to take Unlce Matt to the hotel for his early flight back to California. I LOVED the dinosaur bones.

DSCN3053

I could name most of the dinos.

DSCN3056

This is a room where they clean fossils and learn all about them.

DSCN3057

They had interactive displays to learn all about each dino.

DSCN3058

Stegosaurus! It was HUGE!

DSCN3059

The long neck was cool!

DSCN3060

I was so happy to see so many bones all in one place!

DSCN3063

Telling Mommy all about them! 🙂

DSCN3064

This was a protoceratops. It was the size of a house dog. I kept insisting that they put the wrong skull on it!

DSCN3065

Not very happy here. I was terrifyed that the T-Rex would come to life and eat me!!!

DSCN3066

Different types of ceratops… who knew there were some many types!

DSCN3067

Can you say pachycephalosaurs? By far this is one of my favorite dinosaurs! 🙂

DSCN3069

Mommy was convinced she saw them move!

DSCN3070

A huge triceratops!

DSCN3071

This was a fossil of a baby oviraptor. I was really sad because I found out it wouldn’t never hatch. I wanted a baby dinosaur!

DSCN3072

The remains of the largest ever turtle found. It was about 15 feet high!!!!

DSCN3073

Digging for bones!

DSCN3074

This is hard work. I think I need to rethink my future career!

DSCN3075

Here is what the dig site looks like… I only uncovered a millimeter of bone!

DSCN3076

Learning about snakes of Pennsylvania with Uncle Matt.

DSCN3078

Cool dinos!

DSCN3080

I was in love with the dinosaur bones. I talked about them all day and the next too!

DSCN3081

Making a story on the magnet board!

DSCN3085

What a fun day! I really liked having Uncle Matt there with us! 🙂 I even ate lunch without complaining! 🙂

Hamptaro

I have found a new show that I love. It is called Hamptaro! It is a Japanese animations kids cartoon all about super hero hamsters! There is a song at the opening and ending credits that just makes me get up and DANCE! I have this crazy little dance. So silly.

Christmas Day! SANTA VISITED!

There was a pile of gifts from the family.

DSCN3001

And a separate pile that Santa left!!!!

DSCN3002

First thing I had to check was that the snacks I left Santa were gone. The reindeer at all the carrots except one bite! I wonder if they had a crunchy carrot contest?? Santa took a bite of each cookie… i bet he liked mine best! He also drank the hot chocolate.

DSCN3004

I got the pillow pet I asked for! I was so excited! I have been wanting it forever!

DSCN3005

Also, Santa got my last minute letter under the tree asking for a Zhu Zhu pet. I for a really cute one 🙂

DSCN3009

Oh yeah I also really wanted a two headed dragon!

DSCN3011

Learning the funny noises the pet makes.

DSCN3012

Just what I always wanted… a pet dog!

DSCN3016

Just what I always wanted… a vet center!

DSCN3023

Just what I always wanted… a mini race car!

DSCN3028

DSCN3033

Just what I always wanted… CRYSTALS!

DSCN3040

Racing out new mini racers. They are really fun. The only drawback is that the wheels pop off very easily and there is a little almost clear gear that keeps vanishing. Mommy is good at snapping the wheels back on rather quickly. The instructions even tell you how.

DSCN3045

Vroom Vroom!

DSCN3050

Merry Christmas!!!

DSCN3052

Christmas Eve 2009

I made some really neat art pictures with my stickers. I told Mommy I am now an “Illustrator”.

DSCN2980

Enjoying some snuggle time and books before bed.

DSCN2983

One last story from Grandma Susie… Twas the Night Before Christmas.

DSCN2988

Hugs all around… even from Emmerson! I get sad when he doesn’t hug or kiss me now. I love my little Emmer-Bemmer!

DSCN2996

Last minute note asking Santa for a Zhu Zhu pet. I left him the cookies Emmerson and I made, hot chocolate and a cup of carrots for the reindeer. After all, Blitzen bites because he is teething and needs a cold carrot to gnaw on.

DSCN2997

All the stash for Santa.

DSCN2998

My treat after Emmerson got tucked in was to sit up a bit longer and light the candles and watch the angels with trumpets fly around and ding the bells. I was totally fascinated by this. DSCN2999

Listening to the pretty sounds.

DSCN3000

Time for bed. Good night and please hurry Santa! 🙂

Candyland and More Snow Fun

We played Candyland at the Mill Creek Park art place. Uncle Matt turned into a cookie!!!

DSCN2957

I played in the little candy houses.

DSCN2958

And became a cookie too! 🙂

DSCN2959

Then Uncle Matt made me into an upside down cookie!!!

DSCN2960

More houses to explore.

DSCN2961

Sorting fruit with Emmerson.. I lost interest immediately.

DSCN2962

I liked moving around the huge game pieces. Except my attention span was not long enough to use the same game piece for the 2 minutes game!

DSCN2967

Eventually I won. Never mind that I was really the only one playing!!

DSCN2970

When we got home I got to play in the front yard one last time. Rain was coming tonight and the snow was to be gone by morning .

DSCN2972

I was filling the sled with snow to make deer soup!

DSCN2973

I convinced Uncle Matt to drag me around for a while too… GO HORSIE!!!
